Hey just a little info on cheating and our version of the game. While speaking with someone at SEGA, I learned that the update/fix disc that the Japanese could mail off for was NOT made to fix a bug to stop duping. It was made available to people who were having problems with a specific ISP in Japan. So the version we have in the US is not some improved version of the original JDM release. And furthermore, the linking of the US and Japan servers was delayed for technical reasons.

The version made available domestically is identical to the "fix disk" you refer to. You are right, it does not fix the duping bug. However, it is not identical to the original Japanese release; it also has the connectivity-issue fix.

Why do I get the sinking feeling that sometime down the road we're gonna end up seeing a PSO Ep 1&2 v2 that has a bunch of bug fixes and again we're gonna have to fork out another $50 to buy a game we already own.
