I just got to try a slicer for the first time today. Just using a 9* slicer w/ a 7* madoog (fire), I am soloing Unsafe Passage S in about 6 minutes. I am a level 56 AF 1. My slicer PA is @ 8 and my Slicer is at 0 grinds and 14% light. These things are unbelievable.

Yes I did mean Shadoog (yactdike 28% fire 2/10), Sorry. I just switched from AT, so I was a little confused. I'm wearing the complete army set too. I look F***in' bad...ASS! I just mow down hundreds of little icy pannons and Just attack the PA into groups of Deljabans (while avoiding all of the megid). I don't know if hunters should be able to be this good. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

Slicers are pretty much at their worst against enemies that use techs as well. Wait until you start owning some enemies that don't take advantage of your immobility http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Oh, and since this topic is about slicers, lets go for a new page record before the inevitable lock!

Level 40 Newman Fighgunner does 600 on first combo and breaks 1k twice without a sweat on second JA'd combo of Chikki 19 ^_^.

I thought this was supposed to be the 'balanced' Slicer user? lol, level 110 Beast Fortefighters aren't the only people this PA is too good with.

I refuse to use them since they're so powerful. I'd rather haul around my Ank Dedda. Sure, it takes longer, but it's a hell of a lot cooler.

I am doing insane damage at (now lvl 57 http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif). I now have 30 PA frags (I think I'll save for the other slicer PA, or maybe I'll still get KS for my CAST fG). The radius on the PA is probably gonna get nerfed. Oh well, enjoy easy damage as long as it lasts.

I call them Tech-MAGs and R-MAGs.

I like your sig, Yusaku_Kudou.

The only reason that I don't use a slicer is because WT's can use slicers, and they really don't need them (it'd be no fair if they did get them) http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

They're powerful, yea. But in my experience from using them a lot, they're pretty impractical to use sometimes.. or actually, a lot of times. They make very good openers, but once the mobs scatter you really end up wasting more time and effort trying to line up shots than you would if you just switched weapons and killed things normally.

Likewise, it is kind of a waste to try using a slicer on small groups of enemies, since although they do hit very hard I've found you can do a helluva lot more damage in a shorter span of time if you just use a normal melee weapon instead.. I mean, just because you see big numbers that hit a lot of targets, that doesn't necessarily mean the damage itself is efficient in comparison to the many other ways you could kill a group of enemies..

*shrugs* I guess it somewhat depends on your level and what difficulty and area you play on too, though. And truth be told, most of the higher level players don't have much of a challenge period right now, so I imagine the slicers kind of cut through most groups of enemies like butter by then regardless. >_>

well there was like a 20 page topic on this before. so i wont get into it really, but the basics are slicers on non acrofighters=mehhh
On WT they would be really horrible, WT is lowest Acc in the game i think, miss city man.

I only use slicers when I solo, I can't stand them in groups.

The worst accuracy? nah, that can't be. WT's can make good use of cards and longbows so we can't have the worst... then again, if we don't then who does?

I like the slicers...although I also use my claws and d-sabers quite a bit.

It's funny, a couple of the posts in this thread make me think of a graphic I saw regarding the APU after Matrix Rev came out: "Gun that shoots METAL bullets, because effective guns are for pussies..."

Slicers are good, but, in my opinion, they're not as broken as 90% of the civilised world claims.

Avienda, you're right, but lets not forget about the big dudes with multiple targets, Slicers fail on those guys too.

Fortetecher. Bows and Cards have good ATA which is why any class can make good use of them even with a low acc mod.

The "broken-ness" of slicers...They aren't broken, they are just powerful. I don't use them all of the time, but vs. groups of 3 or more and they rock. They kick little swarms' asses.

On big enemies, I just switch to my deathmakers (and burn traps). I played Awoken Serpant S yesterday (solo) and got DC'ed when I reached De Ro Le. I wouldn't have been able to do this w/o the slicer shadoog combo (SE3 burn that doesn't interrupt my attacks...yes please). Slicers are great, but they are only broken when used with a high lvl shadoog. It allows you to keep an infinite stream of mid-range damage and you don't even *have* to use PP.
