View Full Version : Which class does the most DIT?

I just want to get some opinions.
It was safe to say Fortetechers have racked up the most DPS (damage per second), before AOI, and may still hold that trophy as of now.
But lots of things have changed since then.
Which class is fighting for the gold trophy of DIT(damage in total)?

Slicer users, doing loads of damage, seem to be most likely the class for most DIT. I haven't touched classes that have access to these weapons, so please enligten me on them.

Gunners, sadly, haven't recieved ANY kind of speed increase for their bullets, which is kind of unfair. Acros for TECHers and Fighters. Yet no Acrogunner. ;_;

Sure, TECHers got 20% damage boost on rods, and less casting time for their TECHnics every set level... BUT along with that, they got nerfed Gi-TECHS, which really has lessened usage, from personal experience, and other players. The Gi-TECH's, preferably are highest DPS, hitting up to 6 creatures. Since the nerf, it's hard to hit even 1 creature, since they only take damage within given animation area, which isn't much.

So, time to hear some other opinions. Discuss...

Techers did not get a 20% Boost. Rods got a 20% Damage boost, and casting times for ALL technics were adjusted so that they cast quicker at higher levels.

Well, GL and Lasers do shoot a little bit faster than before, so gunners did get somewhat of a boost...

Uninterupted, fFs dwarf every other class.

Damage in total what?

one hit?
one combo?

Fortefighters is clear winner. Slicer for small mobs (2k-5k damage a hit...killing a whole spawn of mobs in like one combo) and then big weapons on things with multiple hit boxes like Spear and Axe which can also kill in one combo or two at the worst.

And Dam-techs does better damage Gi-techs for damage per time. Puts em kind of close with FFs when it comes to mob slaying. Once an enemy with more than 1 hitbox shows up they look silly when compared to FFs.

Gunners didn't need a speed boost for bullets, I think most would have preferred an extra bullets on their Shotgun/Crossows though (and maybe SE5s lol...)

FF. By far.

LOL what the hell are we going to SE, and why? Who could possibly care about getting SE5 except maybe incapacitate... or being able to tag mobs with some sort of invincibility to slicers.

6-bullet shotguns would be pretty cool.

I'd love to see more OMG GUNNER DAMAGE skills like Boma Duranga... maybe drop some HP-drainers on mech, shot, laser, rifle, and handgun. That said, regular lasers and grenades get a pretty scary damage mod at lv40.

Noticed the "lol" in there. Before AoI dropped Gunners keep mentioning how they would get SE5 since Vandas caused SE5 Burn or hoped for it. It was just a light jab at that line of thinking. LOLOL. Relax.

Its not the class that you play that matters, its how you play the class.

Experts prefer fF for dmg.

My Dammegid + my PW with a STC does about 2000 damage per hit to Kakwanes. For small mobs my dam techs kill FF damage.

Well, to me it do...While using Azul Fire and the Yohmei 9* Laser, they seemed to shoot faster...It might've been lag, but I doubt it...

and then the beast fF comes in and does 2500+ with a 24% dark slicer for each hit of the 2 hit combo, that hits an unlimited number of targets, and starts off by hitting 800-1000 for the first hit of the combo...all in the time it takes to shoot 1...maybe 2 Rammegids.

Or 4k for a normal attack on a decent % axe with jabroga on five enemies at the same time, TWICE.

I won't doubt the sick damage of the slicer, but for enemies that like to scatter around, it isn't going to kill all of them that quckly.

but a ra-tech will? that being said, sometimes it is more enjoyable to take down an enemy with techs. I love using dambarta on bardia, and used to love using megiverse on golormo.

The only problem with going over DPS or DIT is that you lose versatility.

What about AF? S rank Slicers, S rank Shadoogs (which can do SE4 Fire), a decent selection of traps, plus cards for knocking birdies out of the sky. If you factor in the speed boost, assuming uninterrupted, how much higher are the dedicated classes anyway?

Gen2000
Dec 20, 2007, 05:52 PM
He said Dammegid not Ramegid, which ticks damage at a speed comparable to one Chikki blade going off and hitting an enemy (from a non-AF at least).

Any PA in the hands of a Fortefighter who has mastered Just Attack will decimate any class in the DPS department.

It's OK to be 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc, just don't expect to compete much with a Fortefighter when they pull out their 2-handed weapons and start Just Attacking the hell out of things with 30% or higher elemental weapons.

I don't think it is available online yet either.

That means no one knows how much damage it does D:

I gotta ask, why 3 votes for PT?

My vote was fortefighter with acrofighter and fighgunner following up.

actually I'm pretty sure acrofighter can outdamage a fortefighter but in exchange they lose the pp bonus, hp, and def and its not all to huge of a difference in damage.
