Question about the item database on this site...

Just out of curioisty, when something in the Item Database on this site is listed as "This item cannot be obtained in online mode through legitimate means at the present time.", what exactly does that mean? How do they get snapshots of the items if they're not available?

Some items that say this that I have actually seen online (i.e. Cushion Jaggo). Is this simply just the website being outdated slightly?

I'm just confused....

Either hacked item from a year ago or so, or the database being a bit outdated, though it's usually on top of things.
