View Full Version : Here's a little statistical fun: LV110 Newman F Job Stats!

When I first made this character, I didn't know what advanced jobs I wanted to do, so I leveled the basic three to ten before I did anything else in the game thanks to some old PSO friends and Her Secret Mission. Getting Force to 10 and being female newman, my friends expected me to just get into the fortetecher role and make it my expertise, but I never enjoyed FO in PSO and I didn't enjoy force in PSU, so I went fighgunner first and felt it was pretty interesting, but when I went fortefighter, I started truly having fun and people couldn't believe their eyes seeing a newman swing around an axe.

Right now, I mostly switch between fortefighter and fortegunner, but I feel most comfortable being a fortegunner with her. She has a nice balance of stats and I enjoy her high accuracy and evasion, but also her high magic resistance. Post-update, her stats really came into their own. While I felt I was a competent damage dealer before, I find myself being able to do 500+ per hit with my twin handguns on fortegunner and 5500+ with melee weapons on fortefighter. I think one of the funniest comments I've heard on Xbox Live was, "Is that a newman holding an Ank Dedda?" It made me smile lol.

As for: Guntecher, Wartecher, Fortetecher, Acrofighter, and Acrotecher, I haven't leveled them up at all (except GT to 2), so I can't give any interesting stats on those to compare with the rest. I'd love to see the stats of anybody else here with a different race/sex and their odd job combinations. True, I could probably look them up or calculate them somewhere, but I think this would be more fun socially.

Nice accuracy on that there acrofighter. Hmm. I tend to use a zodiaride on everything but fortegunner anyway. And uh, Protranser is not so bad. Compared to a beast, the accuracy isn't as much of a problem, and the ATP went up a lot. Before I think I had like 550-ish ATP at level 99 as a LV10 PT. Yeah.

Just a small question (.___.);;

I'm thinking of making another Newman character as either a Acrofighter or a Fighgunner. As a Newman F FI, do you find yourself being frustrated with output or having much difficulty in parties? I keep up fine on AF Newman, but FI Newman kind of makes me go 'Hmmm'.

Do you mind sharing a bit of melee Newman expertise? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

Newmen simply hit more often. Still very nice, considering the late game monsters have some pretty good evade. At level 90 with Guntecher Maxed, I still see enough zeros from some.

Haha...look at that Evade, do you even get hit? Reminds me of good old HUnewearls and they're constant blocking, even against Ulti Olga

Newman Fighgunners are just as good as a Human Fighgunner. I recently discovered that Newmans get a bonus when it's a Fighgunner. I quickly switched back to Fighgunner when I found out. Wartecher wasnt good enough to be a true HUnewearl.

Anyway. I can outdamage most Human Fighgunners and some Cast/Beast Fighgunners with my Equip. 20% Sweet Deaths and Hard / Power Charge. If people complain about you being a Newman Fighgunner then hope there is another Fighgunner in the party and compare damage. 95% of the time you'll do 50 more or less damage and that'll make them shut up.

There's really no downside to being any race with any job, as other races have other stats to compensate for raw power or vice versa. Nobody ever really told me to go change to a techer and do my race's job (well, maybe an acquaintance a couple of times early on), but they just hushed up when they saw the numbers fly.
