Why the hell would they brag so much about linux support on PS3 if it's so difficult to do?! I mean, the PS3 has SO much potential just waiting to be unlocked, and the only way to do it is to: A) spend loads of money on fancy flash drives, an HDTV, etc.; or be a technical wizard! I have NEVER felt so stupid in my life as I have after failing to install this stupid ubuntu so many times. Has anyone else had this problem?

I was afraid to since I'm HDTV-less and stuff, but I just found a guide for YDL and people without HDTV. I need to buy a USB flash drive though, which I guess I've been meaning to do for a while anyways.

Installing an OS is probably the most useless feature of a PS3. Dealing with the proprietary hardware just isn't worth it. Buy a 'puter for $200.

Meh... just going to wait until I get an HD TV. Sony promises it'll be a key feature eventually, so might as well wait for less hassle. It's too much right now.
