I don't understand statistics like some people, but what I just saw in the casino I think should be pretty much impossible. If someone can explain in layman's terms great. The series of #'s on the roulette wheel was 2, 3, 12, 2, 3, 3, 2.

It would seem to me that if it's randomly generated, having 2 of the same number appear 6 times in a 7 digit span just should not happen.

Meh, that's random for you.

Reminds me of a Warhammer 40k game I had about a year ago. I was called upon to make 5 armour saves for my most hardass unit in the army. 3+ on each dice would mean a man saved, yet I rolled 1,1,1,2,2. I then proceeded to roll 6,6 for their leadership check (you want to roll low here) but, since they were so hardass and elite, they were entitled to re-roll those dice once. What do you know, 6,6 again, and they proceeded to run straight off the table.

I've dealt with dice ever since I was six years old, random doesn't surprise me anymore -.-

Theoretical estatistics and reality don't match - while in statistics in a coin toss you get heads half the time, in reality you could get heads 99% of the time.

You also need to remember that the previous result has no bearing on the next. So, looking at a streak is useless. Just go with your gut.

It's hard to explain but what I usually do is bet on either black and/or red depending on the odds. Just betting on a number is risky but if you bet between two numbers your chance of winning might double a bit.

I'm willing to bet your odds are lowered when betting high amounts on certain areas.

Everytime I saw someone drop a silver coin on a color space, I'd bet something smaller on the opposite space and win. Now, that's just speculation, but....

Trying to apply logic to a random event is silly.

It's plain and simple: Don't bet in the casino if you want prizes. Just wait and save your coins. Sure, it might take awhile but at least you'll get the prize in the end.

Heres the thing about random events. The only order or 'logical' sense to them is that every time it happens, it is a singular event, having nothing to bear on the event behind or the event to come next.

Flip a coin, heads. That doesent mean the next time will be tails. Next time has a 50% chance of being either, with nothing else mattering concerning the outcome.
