cant seem to get it down, ive done it accidently a few times, any tips?

Ranged weapons do not have timed attacks, only counter attacks.

oooo so that must have been what i did, im guessing you do it right before you get attacked?

Actually, it's when you see your character blocking. It doesn't take much practice to get it right.

Also, Counter Attacks are completely useless with guns, as it does not increase damage or reduce PP cost.

No, when you get hit and you block it then you shout right after blocking which makes it a counter.

A gunner shouldn´t have a need for a counter without a extra punch seeing how we try to keep or distance?
You know what i good counter could be for a gunner?
A knock-down enem(ies)y counter, gives you enough time to run away safely. =)

ya i usually keep my distance, but i was hunting on C for the heck of it and got up close alot, which is how i discovered it

Yeah, some kind of pistol-whipping move on counters could be nice. But of course, ST is too busy overpowering melee and Acro classes to bother with that.

Agreed.
We should be both holding our long fingers in the air and say.."WHY DON`T YOU (SONIC TEAM)JUST REMOVE THE WHOLE GUNNER CLASS ALTOGETHER AND SCARE OFF THE WHOLE COMMUNTIY ALREADY CAUSE YOU ARE SURE ON THE ON THE RIGHT WAY!!" XD

Heh best counter for that would be a blow away blast.
So they fly a long way of the blast.

But then again it would conflict with the actual attack most of the time..shame...XD

I think Techniques have it just fine, I like casting spells almost consecutively with Just Counter.
Hunters however, especially since they regain PP by their normal attack... Oh well, =/
