I remember that there was a GOD/EQUIP for the DC version.
Have they ported it over to the GC version?

It was never an item in the first place, players just called it that. It was just a cheat device code.
No I saw it with my eyes...and i tried it online with my DC.

It never existed... ever. You may be thinking of god/ability.
I swear on my character, the guy dropped GOD/EQUIP infront of me. I took it and equipped it into one of my slots.
Then I could equip weapons i could not use.

I used to think it was a item till my cousin got a gameshark and used it. Well then If there was coding for that cheat. That means that it is somewhere in the game. It must be there and I will prove my statements and find it.

The only character in all of PSO that could possibly have it is Hopkins. Since when can a force use a heat sword anyway =^_^= No, the item is hacked. One of the things you could do with the gameshark was rename items and they would appear that way when you give them to someone else. This became very prominant when Version 2 came out when people were hacking Srank weapons with funky looking names.

From what I heard, the reason that S-RANKs had the //A///AA names were because the same code used to make the weapons wouldn't allow you to properly name them.

If there were ever such a thing as GOD/EQUIP in the DC version then the cheaters would have just duped that instead of using codes to do GOD/EQUIP. You are greatly mistaken if you think at all there is a GOD/EQUIP. That would be the most rediculous item ever made.

Ive heard of it but never seen one or played with anybody who claims to have one! Maybe it is out there waiting to be found by the ULTRA lucky who knows.

Yes, I recall seeing God/Equip once. Certainly a modded item if I ever saw it, but I only witnessed one holder of it ever, a version of the "item" that was modded to perfection, and well used in creating rumors. It indeed did what it intended to, and mimicked the "God/Equip" code: The ability to equip any Weapon, Armor, or Shield immediately, regardless of stat requirements or character limitations. I found it a very funny sight to see a HUcast knocking out Arlans with ease, using a Wand. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif
Some people talked about it, and most were likely lying. Most wouldn't show the items, giving lame reasons why. Of course, one could easily reason that such a thing would be stolen on the spot.
But that wasn't all. God/Equip was just the tip of the iceberg.
Anyone here recall "God/Ability++"?
A uber-hacked creation that boosted all stats to INSANE levels. Most instantly raised all possible stats to the max, but I heard a few really well-made versions of this pushed it even further, ignoring Class max limits. Most people thought this impossible, but how the hell can even a HUcast knock out a Bartle in one punch, LITERALLY?!
Best of all, the one item EVERYONE wanted, the on that would make all but the most braindeadingly careless invincible..........God/HP++
Most creations of this weren't so mind-bending. Maybe up to 200, even 500. But no one heard of those. The rumors existed and fed simply on the best one out there, one few had, and yet made headlines everywhere online. The legendary addon that stretched HP miles wide, by an obscene 10,000 HP of added life. God/, INDEED.
Most people that showed this one off were the most finicky of proving it. They usually rather quit and save on the spot that confront those that wanted its existence confirmed. However, just days before I was banned on V2 through a freak accident outta my control, I got what I was looking for. Some player on there named "Shampoo" (as closely modeled to the Ranma 1/2 character as a HUnewearl could get) was having a field day hosting her own Christmas party with hacked items. She dropped the bomb at my feet, I couldn't believe it. God/HP++, in all its glory. Oh yeah, the God/Ability++ as well. I took them to the field in a heartbeat. And immediately from the moment I put it on, my former max HP became Critical red http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif
It took the Force in the room almost a minute to Resta me to full health. Next, I ventured into Ultimate Ruins, and sat in the first room I entered. Three Arlans got their crack at me. It, with the Ability++, took them damned near 9 minutes to kill me.
But the items weren't perfect. It caused one of the wierdest glitches I've seen yet. While cutting through the ruins with ease, I suddenly got several times weaker, resembling my former self. I still had the near limitless HP, though. Too heavy into battle to check myself, I killed all the enemies. The final one was a claw. Killed it, and what did it drop? A God/Ability++. "?!" I was thinking, awesome, these things really DO exist! Funny how I already have one, wonder how well two of them will perform http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif (goes to equip newly found uber-addon...) "?" And sure enough, my first Ability++ was gone. Somehow in that room, the Ability++ vanished, and placed itself in the (Drop) hands of the final enemy left standing. Kinda like a test to see if I really deserved it, but that was hardly the case.
In any way, any items such as these are banned, and the lobbies will detect their foreign coding. Plus, they might do some funky things to your gameplay, or even your character. I suggest you stay away from them, no matter how luring the power is.

Its certainly funny i my self have seen one of these
i found a FOnewmar equipped with a twin brand as well as other rare hunter weapons that sure he would give to my FOmarl (for some reason back then being a female character meant that you were instally a girl heh i got my self alot of rare weapons)

I had one of those God/HPs, and one of those God/Abilitys, indeed they were leet. I remember making some of them...not many people knew how, but it was pretty cool doing it and showing them to people.

hm, the 'best' i had on dreamcast was a perfect/resist++ that added 13 resistance points to every element...
wasn't there a God/HP-- as well that dropped your HP to 0 thus killed you instantly without being able to take it off ever again? i heard that these things also got hidden as other slot items to kill off charas completely (like in making them useless).

From what I heard, the reason that S-RANKs had the //A///AA names were because the same code used to make the weapons wouldn't allow you to properly name them.
The AA//AA//A S-ranks were named because the got the 180% on one area. Because of the 180% the name of the srank could not be made.
If you however made a srank with a name: eg: ......twin the percentages could not be added.
Thats about the Sranks on the Dreamcast.

Not quite. The area of data that stores names on items also stores the %'s. You can't have 3 %'s and also have a name, however if you kept the name short, about 5 letters you could add a single % to an s rank weapon.

I agree you can really mess things like your charecter up or get yourself banned and it just makes the game less fun for most other people

Ah, yes, THOSE. Those got me banned off the DC, too....
They are the worst kind of thing to ever encounter, and if they appear in the GC version of PSO, I'm quitting. End of story. Because the game won't be fun anymore; unless you had one, you'd be left in the cold.
Will Xbox get it? Don't know, don't care; it's already beyond help.....

After seeing a level 94 RAmarl with Aura Field and Standstill Shield, I'd say it exists. Not to mention they had level 30 techs, including Reverser/Grants/Megid, and infinite combos.

A HUcast using a wand..how would the HUcast's animations be programmed to use a weapon like that? Did it swing like a double saber or something? o_O I'm lost there.. I've seen lotsa people on v1 using weps they cant use, now the only people that use weps outside of class limits are NPCS, as far as I know.. They shoulda made a hack that gave weapons to enemies lol.

I have never heard of an item "God/Equip." I knew of the code, but that is about it. I hung around with a lot of cheaters in my early DC days and I have saw a lot of cheats... but never a "God/Equip" item. Ask Barubary, then you will know if it is in the game or not.

The items things are weird. I remember using a GS on DC to turn my Naga mag into a Kama. The Naga's mouth opens and closes. When it turned to Kama with a code, the kama had a moving mouth. Weird. HUcast with a wand does the force wand animation. Turning a mechgun into lets say an inferno bazooka would make you appear to hold two inferno bazookas. I know. I experimented with these things back in the day...
