Who, or what, is this guy?

I discovered him in offline story mode in the.. either last, or second to last chapter. When you talk to him, it only says that he looks to be in terrible shape, and that's that.


... Did I miss a subplot or something? This guy doesn't look like any of the four races in this game.

That's definatly a CAST face under that "beard" or hood and mask.. with beast ears and wearing fleshie clothes...

I'd say something ST made up to show an effect of seed infection on survivors.. but that's just a guess...

I did say that it was from offline story mode. I play on the Xbox 360 (hence the photograph instead of the screenshot), so I only have regular PSU's offline mode at my disposal.

This was before it was shown that the SEED virus could affect people.

And I agree, but the ears don't quite look Beast to me. Something's off.

He's a CAST pretending to be a beast.

You can talk to him in earlier chapters to get his story, but like the other NPCs, it's nothing important. IIRC he was going to jump of the cliff, but then got the CAST Instant Crash Syndrome or something and freezes up.

Ah, thanks for the info. :3 I was seriously wondering, especially after I was just laughing with friends about how we were going to get a whole bunch of stuff with the expansion that didn't happen - such as a new race and planet. I sorta freaked out. XD

there was never any official information saying there was a new race or planet. ever. believe official info that you see. period.
every bit of official info that was written, to the best of my knowledge, was carried out entirely, or is a planned future update - such as moving to other planets
dont let people start rumors - if you see doubtful information, look for the real info and compare the rumor to it... if ppl had done that a year ago, they wouldnt be upset that theyre not using a black beast with twin axes right now lol

In the strictest sense his battery just died. He sits there and reflects on life waiting until his power core finally exhausts itself.

He's an old cast who got tired of the military, and is hiding on Moatoob, while he waits to die.

The reason he's in disguise and on Moatoob is because he's AWOL from the AMF. He's near the end of his life, and the "ghosts" of those he's killed in the line of duty are catching up to him. He's just wanting to die in sorrow and regret.

What's a neat little twist, is that apparently most of the people he's killed in the line of duty were Beasts. But it's Gawik, the Beast pub owner, who recharges his failing "batteries" (Some kind of Photon power system - I don't remember) and takes care of him every night.

And yeah, the site's down now. Dunno if it will go back up. But I hadn't gotten around to putting up the script there anyhow. It should be on PSUpedia soon, and otherwise it's in PSOworlds Gameplay & Guides forum section.
