A friend of mine wants to join PSU but wants to know if he can use his old PSO Guardians licence for PSU or change the payment method so its a PSU Guardians licence and not pso... but one the same credit card. Well Thanks for the help peeps. -_^

Separate fee, separate game. He is free to use the same credit card for it, though, provided of course it's valid.

He actually still has a PSO Hunter's License that's actually active? For what edition of the game?

He can use the email address and PlaySEGA account associated with his Hunter's License (if it's from PSO:BB), but will have to buy a separate subscription (called a GUARDIANS License now) to play Network Mode on Phantasy Star Universe or the expansion, Ambition of the Illuminus.
