A little info on PM Ex devices please.

Didnt find any posts on this so I was wandering what the requirments to use one were. And if I were to change my GH413 to a GH450 would Synth success drop on Striking weapons or would it stay the same?

You can only change your PM:
-when it is at least lv80
-between the "families." So, since your PM is 413, you can only use a 41* device. If you want a 450, unfortunately, you would have to start your PM over.

I'm looking more for the PM Ex devices. From what I've heard there are ones for two new(Male PMs) and the exsisting PMs. Depending on Battle Stats you can use them as you would a normal one, but to change for example 410 to 420.

PM EX items only change the model number and therefore its AI and Weapons. it has NO EFFECT on the Synth Lvls (say you have 100 on strike it will keep those lvls and therefore the bnous % when synthing) all you really need to worry about is the Battle strength of the PM since they have to be at a minimum lvl to allow the change.

I dont know all the req's but i do know for the 45x Series (tech types) you need a Battle strength min of 30 and i beleive its the same for the 460 and 470 (Boy and butler) series as well

Extra evolution devices for partner machinery have been added. They are useable on all GH4xx types if required conditions are met. And "GH470" and "GH480" are new partner machine models.

EX Device GH41x Required: Battle Points over 10
EX Device GH42x Required: Battle Points over 15
EX Device GH43x Required: Battle Points over 20
EX Device GH44x Required: Battle Points over 25
EX Device GH45x Required: Battle Points over 30

but...wtf does a device GH41x do, does it change it to the 410 series? that doesn't really describe exactly what it does

The x is just a placeholder for the other numbers. There's an EX Device 410, EX Device 411, etc...changes your PM to whatever model it says it's for.
