I think I saw someone (EspioKaos I believe) mention a 14* kubara saber named Sange yesterday. I don't have a pic of it, but that just might be it. Since, you know, Sange was a katana in PSO.

Single katana is Yasha, dual katana is Sange & Yasha. Someone I know did say Sange was a 14* Saber though, but I'm yet to see pictures.

Edit: Espio said it too, straight from the Perfect Bible. This makes me very happy. Now er, get with releasing them online.

I'll friggin kill for those swords if they were real. I'd love a Yasha for my AF. But I dunno, a friend of mine saw them before and he pretty much looked carefully and said those pics were fake. But if Espio said from the Bible that those swords are real, then I must have them, at least the Single Saber Katana.

Well, looks like ST just ported the model for Sange & Yasha- in the PSO games, if you look carefully, you're actually wielding Yasha and Kamui (one katana with a light handle, which is Yasha, and a short blade). If you think back to PSO, Sange was a very large katana, and Kamui was a smaller one, with a square handguard.

Ah, I see. He looked at the pics and said that there was something wrong with them. I listened to him so that I can keep my hopes down and won't be disappointed when I find out that they're not real. However, now I know that they really are in the game and I'm just stoked about it. I just hope attaining it doesn't involve needing pure dumb luck in order to get it, but yeah, guess I'll do whatever I have to do to get those swords. I'd love Kamui to be its own single dagger weapon too, that'll be cool. Maybe I might try to shoot for an all katana palette with my male human, but that's not gonna happen so easily.

Single Saber Katanas? Excellent! But they'll probably be S ranked, so my WT can't use them... If I ever get one, I might have to change classes just to use them. Considering how the Japanese server is getting Sange (wasn't it the 400mil prize or something?), I really hope ours is easier to get. I'd hate to get screwed out of it just because we can't hit a target.

Mind, we got the Song for Death differently, so who knows. I'm hoping for it to be an actual drop. Make it as rare as you want ST, I'll still hunt it.

If this turns into DDwBP where every single HU has a Sange / Yasha, I won't be amused

Edit: Just realised- on the Max Attack G page, the katana shown may be called 'Sange', but it's the model of Yasha. So, looks like they've messed the names up even further.

Between fortefighters, fighgunners, protransers, acrofighters, and acrotechers yes there are a lot of people capable of using S sabers. However, I don't think you'd find all that many outside of acrofighter and protranser who use them with any frequency.

Wow. That is a lot of people. Wow. Even though I'd like WT's to have them, we don't need another class of S rank saber users. We have enough as it is. Did not know that many classes have access to them.

I love Naruto and Bleach, but yeah, I don't think I've even seen a Katana in Naruto, and in Bleach, there are some, but the wielders turn them into super cool-looking weapons that don't even exist because they're all super-powered and such, and the main character's sword is just a big butcher knife.

But yeah, still, as a Wapanese, I approve of these swords in the game.

Honestly, as someone who never played PSO and only heard everyone praying for Sange/Yasha to make an appearance, I'm a little disappointed. They're rather plain...I guess I just expected a little more embellishment in my high grade S ranks. I do see the appeal of a classic katana, though I'll probably skip this set. I'm a western broad/bastard sword fan, and I suppose the photon style has grown on me too.

Probably no katanas in the American releases yet. But Sasuke uses a katana at points in Shippuden for sure and I think I remember someone else using a katana earlier too.

1) they are NOT event specific items
2) they are NOT A ranks
3) the Sange & Yasha board require the Sange and Yasha completed swords as ingredients
4) If 3 is true, Sange & Yasha be the most kickass twin saber on the fucking game

5) There is some animation for them we havent seen yet (no biggie if not, though
6) they make Metal vs Flesh sounds instead of Photon vs. whatever makes it make that sound

I dont know about "Flesh" sounds, while my Agito Repca makes a "whooosh" instead of swinging photon when hitting monsters i dont notice the difference...now however back on PSO flesh sounds were very noticable...
