Sorry for my ignorance, but I'm seriously debating getting PSU for PC since I'm in LOVE with PSO. However, I do have one question..

Does it take an extremely long time to get to cap in PSU? And is the cap 200 like PSO?

I know everyone has probably asked this at some point, but it took me MONTHS to get to 120+ in PSO, and wondered if this was going to be the exact same experience.

Thanks!

Current cap is 100 and it all depends as far as how fast you move up in levels, with the winter event that is coming with 350% EXP you should move up pretty fast through the levels.

Current lvl cap in PSU is actually 110 at the moment with an increased cap of 120 this week. (Supposed to anyway...we're due a cap increase.)

Is this grouping only or soloing?

Soloing, it would take a long time. Also depends on what job you're playing. But don't worry, it's nothing like trying to reach 200 in PSO.

Contrary to what some others say, I firmly believe that in PSU it takes longer to level (online) than it did on PSO (online) for Dreamcast as well as Gamecube. I've been playing pretty steadily as I did with PSO yet I've only managed to get a lv95, lv85 and a couple other low leveled characters in a matter of 2 years. Where as on PSO I had made several characters on different memory cards all of which reached 130+. Back then I could get a lv80 in a few short weeks time of standard play.

Oh and to answer your other question, the final cap is expected to reach lv200 as it did in PSO ver2 and above.

But PSU has only been around for a little over a year. Not enough of the second year has happened to warrant calling it a whole 2 years. But it is really just as of AotI that leveling has sped up significantly. Now, doing the right missions, you can get a character from 1 to the 20's or beyond in an afternoon.

The AOI missions made leveling a lot easier, the expansion is definately worth buying.
