The SCALE tells you about your Character's Height & Weight - hopefully proportions too for those looking for the perfect hourglass shape =3. GREAT IDEA...

...EXCEPT you still gotta make a character, find a scale, and see if you came out okay. Why is there no height and weight chart during character creation???

The clothes you put on make you look fatter or thinner than you really were... then when you put on a swimsuit you come out looking.... well not what you thought.

sega wouldn't need to create a Room Decor if they had it right at character creation OR if there was a way to edit body (via Weights or Aerobics) in Lumilass the way you could your Face...

I find something very interesting about the Parman Bench....

First, note the "Parma" in the word. Then read the description, and it says the enscriptions on the bench are of "Ladean" origin....

It's been a long time since I played the classic games, but I recognize Parma and as for Ladean, I think the Ladea Tower on Motavia. Very interesting.

It is most likely a reference to Palma's Royal Family, the Landeels/Landales from the original PS series. You know, like things that are the style from the reign of Queen Victoria are Victorian, or from Elizabeth's reign being Elizabethan.

Still, seems strange that if they were going to directly reference Alis Landale, Palma/Parma, or the Ladea Tower - that they'd make a bench. Why a bench? Wouldn't a much cooler room deco be the statue of Alis holding the Elysdion from underneath the Esper mansion?

At least they didn't release anything else in the casino that I really want, and they didn't take down the Papagayo Parrot - so I should be able to afford both by the time they're taken down.

That would be the only deco capable of being cooler than the Strateria Figure.

wait so does that mean that this story takes place somewhere near the same universe? or was it the same a long time ago? I'm kinda confused. given the victorian and Elizabethan comment makes sense but wouldn't that mean they would have to have some sort of connection first? If so does that mean we may see items from the original PS series?

Honestly I'm not too keen on sonic and tails as mascots for a game with no connection to them. >.> cuz if they are what species would they be?

It's most likely just just a reference to the old games and nothing more. Like the Heart of Poumn(sp?) in PSO.

The Heart of Poumn was an odd weapon and poor reference. (Nice weapon tho) It's decription called it the "Alis Claw" - but Alis never used Claws. Further in the description it calls it a "Laconium Task touched by the fires of the Eclipse Torch" - or something like that. Well, "Task" is a mistranslation of "Tusk" - which were Myau's claw weapons (And Myau was a cat... so yeah, claws). There were no "Laconium Tusks" in PSI - just a Silver Tusk which was passed on to Rika in PSIV by the old man. (Who's beautiful shuttlecock is apparently unparalleled in this world ~ meow)

Though it was cool to see mention of the Eclipse Torch along with Laconium (A holy metal of Dezoliz that glowed green when the hidden planet Rykros eclipsed the sun once every 1,000 years. Hence also the Eclipse Torch, an undying flame which was revered during this time of darkness).

But - er, yeah. It's just a reference. Nothing more. Unlike the HoP, the Parman bench has no real storyline significance other than dropping the name of Palma/Parma and the Ladea Tower.

(And no, I don't think the Ladea Tower and the Landales have anything to do with each other. The Ladea tower was built post Great Collapse (PSII) and houses the Psycho Wand which you need to defeat Zio. So if anything, it's probably an old Esper tower that was abandoned. Maybe it was named in honor of the Landale family, but that family line ended as far as we know with Rolf at the end of PSII. He went down in history as a reviled terrorist responsible for the destruction of Palma and Mother Brain, killing millions in the ensuing Great Collapse. I doubt he'd be the one to rebuild the Landale dynasty.

Hmm, the bench graphics themselves don't seem to be any sort of Phantasy Star reference, but the naming used on the item and the description is still interesting. I know it's nothing more than a shameless plug on Sega's part, but it still gets the ol PS fan in me giddy.
