well we just got S rank on the mission for only getting 9/10 ... is there any point to getting all 10 discs?is that an increased rare drop?more boss fights?experience? what is the point because I am certainly missing it...

The Disks do not give you increased experience, that only depends on where you are in the mission (the NPC tells you this at the beginning of the mission)

Actually no use. 9/10 and 10/10 is the same to me.

Lose your disc, and you may be subject to immediate de-resolution!!!

(a cookie for those who can guess this reference).

Unfortunately, I don't see any reason to get 10 either.. 9 suffices towards S-Ranking the mission, so.. yea, can skip an inconvenient disc entirely and save yourself the timetrouble. Truth be told though I continually collect all 10 anyway just for the sake of collecting them.

My groups never miss any, so I can't connect discs to your rank at all.

Another TRON fan! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif All my PMs have TRON names (TRON, CLU, YORI and SARK) http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

yeah, uhm. Disks = mission rewards. Also makes the jerkwad be not so much a jerk to you http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif (I'm talking about the "client")

Yeah. I definitely love TRON. It was a movie in which I saw it both as a kid and after I grew up. It's like 2 movies in one and it's great to see the parallel plots work together. It was as inventive in movie story-telling as it was in graphics. You can either look at it as a wild computer action adventure, or a corporate thriller. Two progressive storylines, but both linked to each other. Very cool stuff.

I also played the Tron 2.0 games on PC and Xbox. I definitely appreciated that they kept the 2 parallel story arcs stuff in it. There's even a scene, in there, that really brings that aspect home to remind you of the clever double story mix. You can't have TRON without that.

I heard TRON only features 10 seconds of actual computer-generated graphics. The rest is traditional animation

Yep, that is correct, the parts "inside" are frame by frame animations - they split every frame into 5 or so "layers" to get the effects they wanted!

To know all about it, watch the 20 year anniversary making of.

Yeah. That makes sense. I guess I used the wrong word. I really should have used the words "artistic imagery". A lot of it was just impressive and consistent design.

I need to get that DVD and watch the 20th anniversary making-of video. It's probably a good watch.
