When will it be available for the PC/PS2 US/EU servers? Also after the event is over, will the PSO levels still be available to play? Or would Sega be too worried, that players would play nothing else? lol

When? Nobody knows.
PSO levels available after? Yes.
Mags? There are two, Madoog and Shadoog. Madoog goes in your gun hand and can be used to cast magic. Shadoog goes in your gun hand and automatically fires. That is all. They are simply weapons, nothing more.

Can't really answer your first question but, your Partner Machinery (Mag) can be fed different items for different stats. The stats depending on which you chose will benefit you when sything certain items (EX: 100 striking PM has the best chance at creating striking weapons). When your PM gets to lvl 80 you can take it out to battle with you. Let me clear up the sudden confusion. Partner Machines are not MAGs. They are Partner Machines. Though they are similar to the old-style MAG superficially, they are a completely different concept.

Madoog (Tech MAG) and Shadoog (R-Mag) are simply weapons, nothing more.
