Higher rank melee weapons attack faster, does this apply to casting weapons?

I've always noticed a difference in speed :/ must be something psychological with me perceiving them to be faster. Even if you guys tell me they don't. I'm trying it out at the moment and I still see a difference in speed XD

i cant tell a difference in speed at all but my friend can. We even tried comparing our weapons and he thought i was just swinging it before him -_-

well, this is odd. I'm going to run some tests with some twin sabers and twin daggers.

I would also like to add is that I only notice the difference in only regular attacks. Since the game has become nothing but spamming PA's the speed isn't noticed.

Nope. They don't.

There are some weapons that do. A chainsawd attacks faster than the standard sword speed, but to say all of them do, that's absurd.

Does a Varista fire quicker? Haven't used pistols in a while but it seems awful fast.

I'm sorry but I think this is just false perception on your behalf. If it was true, everyone here would've noticed it a lot sooner and posts about the speed difference would have already been made.

Don't have a varista yet to test that. just buy a noob handgun and test it yourself. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Seeing as I use normal attacks all the time, always have (offline, mind you - this could be different online, but it isn't likely), I can say:

No, they don't change. At all. If they did, my twin/single dagger/knuckle-wielding HUcaseal would constantly be going so freaking berserk with Serafi/Skela that my attack rate would likely be higher than my frame rate, because the 1* twin/single daggers and knuckles are plenty fast enough as is (especially since I tend to drop the third part of the combo on the knuckles - that, just like in PSO, does in fact tend to increase your attack rate with certain weapons).
