I don't exactly have the best graphics card in the world, Sord.

As for all of the icons, you start out with only 3 or 4 abilities and learn new ones as you level up. You get used to it in time.

That's incredibly inefficient (not to mention a waste of viewing area.) The system clearly needs some streamlining.

There are addons and mods that change the UI, I'm sure.

And if you're really desperate you can map things to your keyboard.
