i have a fighgunner , fortegunner and a fortetecher and a fortefighter.
i seem to like the cati-senba, but i was look at the stormline and the stats are only higher in the other feilds but the defense is higher on the cati-senba.
so for you armor people out there what is the best armor to have noww for those classes?

Cast - stormline or else S rank armor with extra slot for S Rank SUV later.
Force - Orpa senba (H A B)

Others as you like.

The 50% armors are the best.

I personally prefer serafi-senba. one, because it's serafi, and migth one day boost with serafi daggers, and two, because it has all 4 slots. Plus it has great stats. When i'm acrofighter i use storm line for more evasion though.

i also like my serafi because i am a war techer and to actually DO any damage with melee weapons i need an atp booster slot

it says in the database that there is a boost (http://www.pso-world.com/items/psu/2/1556/serafi_senba/)

1. As long as it has the slots you need for your units (like for a gunner you might want an arm slot for your giga/bullet PP save... or an extra slot if you have SUV)

2. Elemental resistance is the most IMPORTANT factor in my opinion. Get multiple armors, don't stick for one overall... but if you end up doing that you should invest in getting a neutral armor in that case <_>

3. Depending on your race, try and get the armor that helps strengthen your best attribute. For example, as a Newman, I prefer using Tenora's armors for incredibly high evasion. I even put Tero/Legs in there to help me out some more. Works great, I have something like... 900+ evasion.
As a Cast or Beast I would go for Yohmei or GRM (depending on slots required)

As for what is the best armor? It depends more on YOU =D

Castest Line is really good. Set back is that it has no head slot.

Ideally Sefari-senba is the best at the moment but good luck getting a rainbow set of those with good %s.

As for the more common armors, just pick whatever highest % with the slots you need, and go with it. A lot of Yamata, Rabol Asted, and Crimsonlines floating around now due being so easy to mass produce. Quite a few StormLines too which easily transfered between different class/race combos. The non-body slot armors, beside Phantomline, just ignore those completely.

It gets a little bit more complex throwing the race into it. i.e. Cast needs extra slot making armor selection a little bit more annoying.

Some of the newer, atleast I think they're newer, armors are quite nice as well. Cardia Senba has good defence, 2 endurance but no body slot, I use a dark one for on my newman when playing hive. Add in an endurance boosting extra unit and you'll get killed by megid a lot less. Delette line is good as well, has less defence than the Cardia but has body, arm and extra slots and the 2 endurance as well. I use these on my Cast.

If you don't need extra slots Orpa-senba all the way, they are very affordable and have really high defence. Or, if you ever feel like starting an Acro class you could consider Rabol Orpad or Rabol Lebfa to boost your evp through the roof.

I play several classes so:
Fortegunner, Guntecher - Storm Line
Fortetecher - Serafi or Kotoha-senba
Fortefighter, Fighgunner - Delette Line, Rabol Dadan
Protranser - not sure (I'm only level 46 with that character)

Shinowa Line and Castest Line have high evasion and other nice stat boosts. Between the two you should be good for slots even though neither has all 4 slots. Only drawback is Castest's equip restrictions, but it looks like you have some gunners in your mix. These two are probably some of the tops that are out now and not just because of their 11* rating.

I'm also looking for a fairly good armour. I'm a poor Cast FiGunner without the knowlage to get better protection. Can someone point me in the right direction so I can die... less? Also, I'm level 96, FG lvl 15, so I'm no noob (at least I try to avoid it as much as robotically possibly).

On my gunner I use Castest Line, small boost, extra END, what's not to like? On my Acrotecher i use Storm Line, because the head slot is required for that class. As a good one that suits the most people, it'd probably be Storm Line. It's cheap and plentiful too.

Thanks people just one more questions what are the downfalls of that dark line sheild that dulk fulkis drops forget the name but is it good bad? and if anyone knows if it has a special look to it like the rabol rappy with the feathers when you block?

Dulk-senba lowers END a lot. And if there's one thing you want on a dark shield it's END so it's quite useless.

Castest line is the best armor for my Cast and with an SUV (21 STA), you are invincible to megid level 1 from dejaban. Castest line is awesome, but it is only for Cast. :S

IMO...for non-techers and people who don't use R-Mags the best armor is Castest line. It has arm, body, and extra slots and it gives 30 ATP, 45 ACC, and 3 STA.

My second choice would be Storm Line, which has 4 slots and gives 15 ATP and 35 ACC. The reason why I don't think it is the best is because I'd rather have the 3 STA and a bit more ATP and ACC than a head slot. Pretty much the only thing good I could put in a head slot is Sori/Mind, which would reduce the damage I take from techs by like 15-20, which is nothing. I'd rather have the 3 STA to avoid status effects.

ah i see. i didnt realized that it gives 30 atp and 45 acc. I was wondering why both of my fortegunners were doing different damages when they both have the same equipments except armor: one wearing castest line and the other dellette line (however it is spell).

Just to clarify on Castest Line,

All gunner types (regardless of race) can equip this item.

Shinowa Line is pretty awesome for AF or if you want high EVP, but then again, that means no body slot for you =x

Otherwise, I'll stick to my palette of Storm Lines lol
