Is Killer Shot/Megid a Status Effect?

Its a status effect, if you take no damage from megid, there is no chance of getting instantly killed. the same can be said for burn, stun, shock and all the rest,

Having 20+ STA will make you immune to incapacitate level 1

Check out any resist unit for a list of icons for the various status effects. Incapacitate is the creepy looking eye.

Does the STA stat affect other status affects aswell or only incapacitate?

Incapacitate level 1 is just the only status effect with a well-documented STA immunity value, so whenever someone mentions STA immunity, they'll probably mention 21 STA as the magic number. Unfortunately burn and freeze require more than that to even deflect level 1, even though it is very rare for them to land at that point.

So, yes, STA lowers everything, but everyone would rather use a resist unit for anything else because it completely negates the status effect rather than just significantly lowering the odds of it happening. And then some mobs like De Rol Le and the sorcerors in White Beast can entirely ignore STA with their SEs.
