42x series Partner Machinery

Could be that I'm just tired, but I'm having a difficult time reading the chart that PSUpedia put together on making your partner machineries, so I wanted to double check.

To get a 42x model, you have to make sure its striking is above 20 but below 30, and get it to production level 80? Nothing else plays into it?

Strike does NOT need to be above 20. I bring.. proof!

Strike just needs to be 10 or above before first evolution. IMO this is the best way to raise a 42x model.

Nah, the best way to make a 42x is to make a pure PM, raise it's B. St. to 15 and use an EX device on it.

...Whenever the hell your version gets the EX devices.

Though it won't be that long. Really, at this point IMO it's stupid to make anything but pure. Just make a 100 ranged or whatever and tough it out until the devices are released. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Better IMO than failing stuff due to impure PM or whatnot. Or finding you hate all the 42x series and want a 480 instead. Might as well just go pure for synthing. You may think you don't care, but sponging off other people's PMs during synth boosts gets annoying. Well, I don't NEED an armor PM. It's once in a blue damn moon I need to synth armor and I have a friend who is on just as much as I am who can synth for me. I have pure everything else on all my other characters though.

I'm waiting for those EX devices, my pure armor GH-444 really sucks... How do they exactly work? you buy an EX-420 device and then you can use a normal 42x device??
