once again i have done it! yup! last level of fire emblem (endgame: rebirth) i set up the perfect defense, got all my healers into position got the boss down to one turn with in death, i end my turn, its going well and then i suddenly realize that if the boss gets a critical hit (only &% chance) i'm screwed, now normally this wouldn't be a problem except i forgot to save on my turn... or during te entire battle, boss is attack drews close then BAM! he gets a critical hit a ike goes down (ike had full health...), this happens every single time i get to the last level of a tactics game.

I smashed the screen of my GBA after one of the later levels in rekka no ken in a similar situation. At least you didn't do that.

RNG=Random number generator. Used wherever random chance is involved.

As for not saving... last I checked, in-battle saves in FE are deleted once loaded.

not in radient dawn... its kind of cheap but the bosses near the end have like a 33% chance of one hit killing ya (on easy mode...) so ya sort of have to save every turn...

i wonder if there is a mod that could do that... it wouldn't be to hard to program one all you would have to do is alter the base of a wolf laguz...

Well, yeah, but after dying in a fight in Disgaea you just go the Dark Hospital and get resurrected. In Fire Emblem, there are no extra lives.

true you die that character is gone for good... hence why its a real bitch if you lose a character right when your about to win... or in ike's case if he dies it simply goes to the good old field of glory...
