Ok, I searched the archives for info on this but I could'nt find anything precise so I started this thread. Could'nt hurt also to refresh old timers memory or to educate newbies like myself.
Q.: When you go adventuring with a group of people, what is the proper etiquette concerning sharing finds?
Is it first come, first served? Sounds harsh for rangers and Force. When a Red box (Rare) is dropped who should get it? The hunter who did the kill? Sometime it's very hard to know who actually did the kill when 4 peeps are shellig damage at the same target.
I'd like to hear your toughts and suggestions on this subject.

I am pretty new to PSO but I know with other online games that I have played the method we have always used is to go back to town and drop all the found items/gold on the ground and go through item by item. If anyone wants it (preference given to characters in-game that can use it), if more then one, I would suggest perhaps rock/paper/scissors.
Of course this method is also reliant on the people you have playing with. Would perhaps suggest outlining the rules for loot divy before starting. Again though, I haven't really had the chance to play in group online in PSO so this is just from past online game experience.

It's a free for all.
Sasami the HUnewearl killed a St. Rappy, so I let her get the present =-_-= I didn't really need another mag cell anyway.

I dunno if I'm an ass because of my personal philosophy on rare drops or not online, but when I see a box and I made the kill, I snag it. If it's something I can't equip, I drop it. If it's something I have, I drop it. Then it's someone else's problem. If I tek it and I don't want it, I drop it.
In general, I follow a modified principle of this to any item - e.g. fluids have priority to forces, if there's none in game, they're mine. mates have priority to robots, because they can't resta spam themselves. etc.

The Mates/Fluids part makes sense but then again, you can always get them at the store. Other players won't feel bad if you take 'em. It's the red boxes that worries me. I have'nt had any problems with this thus far but I wondered if they're was a common practice in this case. Ladies first? ^_^ hmmmm.
