View Full Version : Orpad / Guard or Legs?

Well,I mainly play a newman techer but I also play a CAST fortegunner on occasion..which of these units is best suited for me? I have a guard right now but I could probablly sell it and get a Legs if that's better

Well, Orpad / Legs seem pretty useless for my FF... quite useless for my FGr... dont know how good it wold be with my techer yet though from what I've seen resist units are FAR more usefull.

Meh. might sell it or let my AT friend try it later.

i am recently enammoured with the acro fighter/ techer classes, and their evasion is off the chain.

so to round them out, i preffer the guard.

btw i usually claim Fi almighty, but that is over.

Gunners and Techers benefit the most from leg units so I think the choice is obvious.

Guard blocks 24-33 damage, depending on armor element, while Legs blocks 6% of enemy damage, regardless of race and class. However, for 6% damage to equal the 24 damage blocked, the enemy needs to be dealing 400+ damage, which is nearly impossible if your armor is the same element as the enemy attack (only thing I can think of is the Zamvapas slam).

Also the reduction value of legs decreases as the enemy level increases (that estimate was for level 100 mobs), so Legs will slowly become more and more useless as time goes on.

Personally, I'd do Guard, but feel free to do legs if you like Just Counters.

i have both and use guard on my beast fighter and legs on my cast gunner. newman isnt high enough to equip S rank armour yet

techer = legs

Newman techer all the way you need Orpad / Guard. You as a newman has allot of evade alredy not much defends. As a CAST fortegunner Orpad / Legs will work the best so you can block more of there attacks. You do have allot of defends already as a Cast. That is what I think.

Update... yeah traded my orpa / legs for made Blackbull 0/10 and I'm VERY happy with that trade... As I said most of the time I never used it on my FF or FG, if it didnt take up a body slot and therefore the place of a resist unit... possibly maybe.

Fighter - Guard
Techer - Legs
Gunner - Either

More EVP on a techer means more quick casting from blocking moves.

I chose legs since Im a Guntecher, but overall I prefer getting hit less than receiving less damage.

Acrofighters can make some serious abuse out of Just Counter so I'd actually recommend Legs for them, even though they're a Fighter class. But you can hardly go wrong with Guard on them, at the same time.

Just Counter doesn't do anything for shotguns.
