I want to get a Nos- TECH, but I'm indecisive as to which one I should get. I only have one Lightning, one Ground, and one Dark TECH, so I would like to have another of any of those types. So would anyone give me the advantages/disadvantages of each of the Nos- TECHS before I decide which one to go for?

Nosdiga
Pros: Very high damage to single targets at 21+. Great for killing Lightning creatures, especially when in a party that can distract certain enemies (Go Vahra). Stun SE2.
Cons: Fairly expensive PP cost, getting knocked out of it can be annoying. Snakes can be a bit uncooperative (i.e. not home in on a target and trail off in to a wall).
Noszonde
Pros: Knockdown at 21+. Shock SE2 at 1-10, SE3 from then on. The strongest Lightning TECHNIC.
Cons: Costly. Loses its luster at close range due to a delay (it doesn't explode immediately, so it just circles the enemy for a bit). You can use that to your advantage though, where if you cast it, the ball will explode "on" you if an enemy hits you.
Nosmegid
Pros: Knockdown at 21+. The strongest Dark TECHNIC, made even stronger by its SE (HP Affects Power 2 from 1-10, 3 at 11+).
Cons: Very high PP cost. Same issue with firing delay as Noszonde. Only hits 2 targets instead of Noszonde's 3.
If you could only get one, I'd suggest Nosmegid. That's just my personal opinion though...Diga already functions as a somewhat high damage single target TECHNIC, and Radiga can hit 3 targets just fine. Noszonde is somewhat obsoleted, considering Razonde has a much faster casting time, Zonde works as a good long range TECHNIC, and Gizonde kinda makes the "get hit while casting to hit around you" method pointless. Nosmegid is significantly stronger than any other Megid TECHNICs, and does a good job of seeking out targets that are very far away.
Again, just my opinion...pick whichever one would benefit you most for whatever area you run.

ok, so I have all 3 of these over 21, and i would rate them as follows.....
1) nosdiga
2) noszonde
3) nosmegid
I absolutely LOVE noszonde, the knockdown is awesome, and it helps others with angry mobs ( jumpy golmoros, go vahras, fighters will love you!), but nozdiga does great, GREAT damage. if you use it against lightning creatures, you can total around 5k of damage! nosdiga also has stun, which is great. nosmegid is good, but only hitting 2 kinda sucks, but it is a good dark spell.

NOSDIGA hands down no questions. I think in a topic a while back i helped convince the almighty "Remedy" to use Nosdiga in his complaint Topic that Nosdiga sucked XD.
With NOSDIGA i can quickly slam a Vahra 3 times with 1000+ damage times 3 Homing Sparks with Stun level 2 at Point BLANK RANGE even if the monster moved.
Nosdiga can even Home in on monsters directly BEHIND me.
Either that or i can stun and heavily damage 3 independant monsters spread across the field.
AND the NosDiga can immediately hit as soon as the spark appears at your feet so its perfect when a Vahra or a Pollovahra is on you like a schoolboy on prom night.
The other 2 NOS;
1) Must be casted first.
2) Must travel to the target
3) Must lock on and maybe even spin around target for guaranteed explode
4) CAN BE INTERRUPTED before the nos gets to the target if you are hit which happens too often when Hunters move out of the way so monsters can cut ME the Newgirl instead of the Beastman Hunter with Armor HP and DEF =/

Thanks you all for the input. After reading it over I decided to go with NosZonde first, for a couple of reasons: 1) My only other Lightning TECH is GiZonde, so I might as well get one that get's some range, and I have ranged from both Earth (Diga) and Dark (RaMegid). 2) I have seen some recent use of NosZonde and the fact that it can even home in on flying bosses (ie. Onmagoug) makes it a big plus in my eyes. and Finally 3) It cost 25PAs less than the other 2, so I only need to save up a couple more Frags.
Again, thanks to all who replied.

Get Nosdiga next. It'll suck from levels 1-20 but once you get it to 21+ it only gets better and better. It's by far one of the best damage dealing AND tagging PAs a rod user can get. I've hardly used Diga at all since AoI came out now that PP isn't an issue anymore.

Yeah, I'm going to do that once I get all my alts up to level 60, so I can get those extra frags from the Story missions.

well it might be easier now that characters are stronger but at lvl 60 you really can't get S on most of the latter missions, they're just that hard(to complete on time). Also it doesn't look like you have many spells...if you didn't get giresta yet it might be good to invest in that first. Also, if you have noszonde I recommend not getting zonde. In a technic set there are certain technics that just become useless when you have other technics, so Noszonde would very likely take the place of zonde.

zonde is faster and does require holding, not to mention has very long range very quickly. I dont see it replacing zonde in every situation.

Oh, I have plenty of TECHsm and the first PA frag PA I bought was Giresta, I use it in the place of Resta. I just have never been big on Earth, Lightning and Dark Technics, since fire, ice and basic Diga seem to do the job efficiently. But since those techs are already at the higher tiers I just wanted a change of pace with some different TECHs.

You first have to aquire PA frags from running and getting an S rank on S (1 frag) or S2 (2 frags) missions, and also by ranking S on Story Missions on A difficulty, which will net you 10 frags, but these can only be aquired once per character, and you have to be lv60 to access A rank on Story Missions. Note the first S mission can be done at lv35, this is Unsage Passage S. You then take these PA Frags to the Nuedaiz Gaudrian Branch Item Exchange mission. Noszonde costs 50 frags, while Nosdiga, and Nosmegid cost 75.

Alto Nozonde gots the most bell n whistles nosdiga is the ultimate tech IMO. 2 hits from it even beat Diga so yeah the dmg is quite nice. It's also a great tech to cast in the baclines of battle. Jus spam stun and enjoy.

I guess I just don't consider using technics at long range http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif in my style of play zonde would be used as a line spell, where I'm attacking like 4 enemies with it, which is why I think of replacing it with nos, and for speed attacking the PA to be used would be razonde. I'm usually at medium range or closer on my techer though so that's just what I'd do, I'm sorry =D

I've personally found NosDiga to be amazing for the above mentioned reasons. During normal battle, I will usually use NosDiga over Diga anytime. It outdamages it quite well when all 3 snakes land (not usually a problem if you are semi close/mid range from targets.) It also homes in on targets quite well where you could waste too much time aiming digas.
The only time I'll use diga now is if the enemy is somewhat aerial and NosDiga can't get to it.
