Gravity Break and Tornado imo they're pretty good.

They're all pretty "Meh" to be honest.

After having all of them at 30 for a while now (protranser) I can say that I use Spinning Break the most. Tornado is very good for defensive purposes.

Gravity... I can't get into it, it rapes photon power like nobodies business and is just way too slow. I'd rather use spinning break for offensive purposes for the speed and ease of just attack.

Gravity Break all the way.

for back up Tornado.

Tornado, I'd say. Gravity is very powerful but being limited to one hitbox really kills the PA for me (thus why I like Gravity Strike better than Spinning Strike).

So are you saying that gravity has only one hitbox and that's why you like it more than spinning strike? Spinning Break is the one PM uses correct? It seems to be useful. Played around w/ tornado, but nobody thinks it's too slow?

Typh was talking about the Saber PAs when talking about liking Gravity Strike over Spinning Strike. But yeah, I personally am a pretty big fan of single target PAs.

Gravity Strike is pretty powerful, and awesome for killing single targets. I think Tornado Break is definitely an awesome PA too, great for AoE and Crowd control.

Don't forget that Gravity Break's Just Attack hitboxes are godawfully stupid-slow. DPS-wise, it may just be better spamming the button...

EDIT: Lol, editted to avoid confusion.

I've gotten confused.

Strike: Saber
Break: Sword

Just making sure we're all on the same page.

Confused as well, maybe will give spinning break a try

Gravity Break is the only one worth using to me. Only the first hit has one hit zone, but it hits very hard twice.

They all suck anyway, except for maybe Tornado Break if you don't care so much about damage. If you're going to use the worst weapon type, you may as well get the PA that looks best.

If you use a Kin Yu on Tornado Break man the last move it is huge and strong. You should see it. It is cool.

Before Just Attack came into the picture, Gravity Break was a clear choice. Now, Spinning Break may be better since it's much more JA'd friendly. Tornado Break is kind of weak and slow for small-med size mob slaying but hits four targets so it rock certain big size mobs and bosses. If you play in sucky parties then its ability lockdown 4 mobs at once by repeating spamming Combo 1>2 is nice too I guess (it's very nice on PP use compared to a lot other melee PAs).

I agree with them all being "meh" overall though but when showing off your Kan Yus, Svaltus Swords, Agito Repcas, and whatnot you should at least try to seem somewhat useful to the party if you're going to use swords.

Tornado - probably Sword's best damage output based on getting 4 hits per move and having VERY fast moves. Rock-solid defense with the huge 360 AOE. It's dirt cheap to use too. Only good against big crowds of enemies... mix normal attacks and Tornado combos and you can fight all day.
Tornado Break beats similar PA's on other weapons.

Spinning - next best DPS and best damage-per-PP. It works well against multi-target enemies, where the narrow AOE doesn't hurt your ability to land full hits.
I wonder how this really compares to similar moves, if you consider how fast it is? The last hit has a good modifier and a lot of targets... you can get to it much faster than comparable PA's do.

Gravity - probably lowest damage and DPS overall, it's got a lot of power but very few hits. Regardless, this one's the best against single targets. It's also the only sword attack with a juggle hit. Protip: don't JA the second move, not worth it from a time perspective.
Renzan Seidan-ga is a clearly-better version of the same thing IMO. Bogga Robado might be about equally good though in different ways.

I hate to say it, but I agree with this assessment. I still use 'em on occasion though. Don't have much to add since it's all be pretty accurately covered here. Gravity break hits hard, but it's so slow, the extra damage is pretty much negated. On the other hand it looks cool, and is decent in the right circumstances. I wouldn't highly prioritize it in your list of frag PA skills you're looking to acquire.

Gravity Break isn't the best. It's AWESOME against single targets, but that's about it. Situational, just like other PA's (such as Tornado Dance).

After you get Spinning Strike to around 15-17, you'll start to see a huge damage leap. The combos are actually damn powerful, and it has great mobility and GREAT vertical range, and the ability to completely rape multi-hitbox monsters.

I personally cant get into leveling tornado break, but i will later.

They're the best for long swords, yes, but... so painful to level.

My friend has all of them at 40. Tornado, Spinning, and gravity. He usually uses Gravity and Tornado.

"meh" is not an adjective

Sword really needs a good PA. Maybe something like chikki, where you throw your sword boomerang style. It only hits once per monster but has like 800% attack or something. :/

I prefer Tornado Break out of all the sword PA's. Spinning is just Tornado, but vertical.

Gravity at 40? I salute his patience... Anyway, I think we all can agree swords are in deperate need of a boost. Hardly ever see anyone whip one out nowadays (>_>).

They need to just drop the weapon type completely, and give us a non-pathetic looking sword type. Katanas, Knightswords, anything but what we have.
