Hey all new user here http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Recently my friend Jon and I both purchased PSO, by recently I mean after christmas. He has the online connection so I was prompted to try it at his house. "Well says I this looks mighty cool and full of fun and suprises". The biggest suprise was when I walked into my very first game and saw a guy standing over 6 red boxes. Care to guess what those were? How about 4 lavis cannons and 2 darkbridges or comets or something. "Want some free shit he says". I quit, thinking this some sort of freakish occurance. When it was repeated in the next 2 games by differing people with differing items I shut off the gamecube. What the hell? Is this what I can expect if I go online? Sounds awfully similar to "Good ol diablo 1&2" Where stones of jordan dupes crushed the economy. I wouldn't mind it so much If the people I was playing with didn't use the godly items such as the lavis and the pyscho thing or this gun that shoots a thousand bullets and trashes everything before I get a hit. So should I get the broadband? Or should I wait and see if this gets worse with the launch of the game shark? Either way im dissapointed with the game designers lack of security.

Thanks

people can't do anything to hurt your character at all yet. there is nothing but a dupe code out. they were all just dupes...its fine to go online.

Don't hang out where the dupers hang out (*coughvega*). Try playing a few games in Antares 08. That's the official meeting place for this website. I play there, and have yet to see a duper freely offering stuff like that.

Just try to ignore the duping and try to have a fun time, whether it be offline or online.

im in the same dilema as you, so from wt i understand the gameshark comes out on the 22nd, so ima wait till after that, but otherwise if u buy it now, just have fun and play with ur friends, dont play all random games with possible hackers...but i also plan on buying mine when the BBA's come out in stores unless they r already out...anyone know?

Hmmm thanks for the info guys. I still think ill wait and see what this gameshark launch evolves into, but your right I can just play with people I know. Kinda breaks that free trade though... Well futureshop is sold out Ill just have to wait till EB gets some in I guess.

Thanks.

ok, lets see, for what date was the gameshark scheduled the first time? then got delayed until when? and got delayed and got delayed and got delayed again?
do you want to wait for ever? dont get your fun with the game killed and why not - while waiting for the release of this devilmade tool - have some fun online with some friends you find there or here?

edit: typo -_-;

My suggestion: Return PSO, never think of it again. It will consume your life.
