I need help with Time Zones conversion

So this is obviously related to the Newmans Knights, I've been looking the wikipedia and I don't understand one thing


Most of the Pacific Time zone observes Pacific Daylight Time (PDT, UTC-7) during the summer months

So this is strange, is 31st January in DT? why does Sega announce the event as PDT?

yeah, chibi, I know we get the coin at 1 AM (GMT o:oo) because I'm normally at the counter waiting every night lol
