A glitch is an unexpected or unintended result of any given program / situation.

It's reasonable to say that Sega, in fact, DIDN'T mean to put the Grinder Glitch into their game.

Of course, you only have to not be a dumbass and look at people getting banned to realize that. But that's quite beyond you, I'm sure.

(And yes, I know I'm feeding the Trolls. I'm bored right now, okay?)

grinder glitch and machine gun glitch are VERY obviously unintended effects,t he ToS also claims that abusing ingame bugs/glitches is considered cheating. You agree to that ToS by playing this game and if you continued to use those you only have yourself to blame.

Its people like you that deserve the perma ban. You agreed to the rules when you signed up. If you cant follow them, you should not be allowed on their server.

letting cheaters run rampant does more damage then removing people, because its things like that drive away many people

If you buy a game it's your right to install it, that's all. Your right to play the game on SEGA's servers hinges on your cooperation with their Terms of Service. Your idiocy is unflattering, easy, and your anti-SEGA rants are tiresome.

Make us robots? they aren't telling us how to play, just saying dont exploit game breaking glitches, makes perfect sense. Plenty of room to play how you want and not be a "robot"

Offline sure, do whatever the hell you want, however when you go online, you enter sega's server which is their property, moreover, you agree to a Terms of Service that gives you can's and cannot's of their server, again, their property, their rules. You dotn agree to their rules you get removed.

what does getting all the weps in the game have to do with this thread? I don't see it being mentioned anywhere and no idea what the point of you saying that is. Regardless, no it wouldn't be fun to get every weapon int he game easily...but I don't see that happening >.>

Good, this thread should be locked. Easy cleary cannot understand that by playing online he is using Segas property, and has agreed to Segas rules. If he cannot do that, he should be removed. He can do whatever he would like offline as it is his disc and his console. Yet the servers belong to sega. We are allowed to use them providing we agree to their terms. Which he has a problem with apparently. So to mods, lock thread. And to ST, remove easy. Its a win win.

But even then, if he's on the 360 if he dose anything that involves modifying content illegally as long as he's connected he can be banned from LIVE and have his console locked.

Old i know but you do realise you only own a license to play the game, the physical game belongs to SEGA or whatever dev made it. We never 'own' the game so to speak so you cant do what you like with it.

Also i see no point in glitching. People used to use the item dupe glitch in PSO, i see no point in making the game easier and thus less fun.

Im glad they're nerfing the damned MG glitch. It'll stop allowing so many people to solo. Ever since 1up ended, I've seen alot of friends get greedy. Now all they do is solo to get the items they want. If banning that friggin glitch will bring people back together on this god forsaken, socially-decrepit game then GOOD!

Akaimizu
Jan 31, 2008, 01:42 PM
No it wont. It only stops GTs from their access to fast soloing. Everybody else can do just as well without it. The game isn't yet balanced tougher to give the general populace a hard time. And given the small GT population, this will hardly change a thing.

With the exception of the silly players who did the glitch and never bothered to raise anything else during that whole time, and thus are left with low skills and such. For everybody else, they'll say, "So what?"

The good news is that with the glitch gone, they'll have a better idea of how people *really* finish a level, knowing it's gone, and have a better basis for game tweaks.

Darn. I missed the broadcast. Anyone summarize what I missed? Just ppl standing around and watching folks run around from counter to counter in NPC/grinder shops?

BTW, I hope there aren't any F@tards out there reporting folks who are just standing at the grinding counters, doing legitimate grinding. I've been slowly buying up cheap grinder bases throughout the 3 week event and have planned (from the BEGINNING), that I'd attempt to grind up my A and S weapons on the last days of Winter Event.

Like HELL if I"m gonna get banned for attempting to get my deathmakers to +10!

SolomonGrundy

only GT's use the glitch? nah: anyone who uses a mechgun could glitch.

if you want an economy, it behooves you to remove glitches fast, and clamp down hard on the abusers.

Akaimizu
Jan 31, 2008, 02:32 PM
Naw. I know everybody with machinegun access, can use the glitch. You know I know that. However, it's the GTs that actually make their times a lot better with it. Everybody else has other weapons, without maxed skills, that can still run the mission almost as quick, albeit a little more expensively.
