* Who's Moving to Xbox PSO *

I'll be. I'm very curious to see if they wave the monthly hunter's license fee or not. It'll still be nice to have a simple solution to the keyboard problem (USB adapter on Liksang.com), voicechat, and crisper gfx.

I'm definitely moving. I'll actually be able to have a conversation with those in my game vs. my usual "How r u?" type conversations. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Releasing a MORPG without a keyboard is like releasing a car without wheels. Yeah, you can run it, but you can't have nearly as much fun with it that way.

With that said though, GC PSO is still a good time killer until then. Must find Sange...then Yasha....

I'll be moving from the Dreamcast version, I decided against getting the GameCube version because the Xbox version, to our knowledge, will be cheaper overall.

i have both an xbox and a GC so i guess it'll all come down to price... if the HL is lifted on the xbox version then i'll probably go there... but if nintendo can get its act together and release some more online games then i'll go get a BBA now and start playing... either way... i could just play both...

I for one won't be making the switch even thou I own an Xbox it's gets used more for a paper weight then games. IMO it was the biggest waste of money for me at least. I know there are problems with GC PSO but I am here for good. It's so cool, because it's better than using the joypad controller to type!

Seriously, voice chat is a great addition to any game. I play Counter Strike from time to time with voice chat, and it works wonders. Even though PSO isn't exactly fast-paced, voice chat is a good addition. Remember that, it's an addition now, not an alternative.

I'm hoping PSO will explode in a good way on X-Box that way Nintendo will remove their heads from their asses, and make them get serious about an online strategy, but its probably just wishfull thinking.

I am going to stay with my GC PSO and go with the Xbox PSO.. Im going to get the best of both worlds. Now if I can just figure out how to split my time between the two i would be set.

Feh, I still hate the xbox with a passion. The majority of games on it are action and there's barely any RPGs in sight. Though the features on xbox PSO do appeal to me, I still don't think an xbox is the right system for me, because besides PSO and halo theres nothing really i like on that system.

Just because a system doesn't have 10 million RPGs doesn't mean that it is a bad system. Remember: every gamer has different tastes.

I am switching over to the Xbox version because it will be better, and the servers won't suck like the DCs did and the GCs do.

I'm going to get the xbox version, and maybe stay with gc. I will probably play gc offline only and xbox on and offline. The funny thing is, if xbox ver. is free for online play, I will probably keep playing gc online, if I have to pay more than a few bucks a month for it, I will prob. be xbox only. I hate not having a keyboard, I can hardly say what I want when online now.

I would get xbox PSO, but I don't see the point in buying the same game twice. Besides most of the people I know are staying on GC.

I'm sticking with the GC version.

Reasons:

1)It's out now and my two characters are still a LONG way from reaching Lv200 and I have yet to find all the stuff I'm looking for.

2)Although live voice chat is a great idea, the level of immaturity I've seen in the PSO world is astounding, I can already forsee many unpleasent conversations and or unsightly sounds coming from across my headset.

(I know you'll just say "Well, you can always mute them." but that mutes everything, not just one person. Besides, it's much easier to ignore annoying chat bubbles then it is speech.)

3)And the most important reason....

I still can't get my DSL connection to work over Live, so I couldn't play even if I wanted to.

Your points are very valid, but you *can* mute individuals with XBOX Live. It's simple, takes a few seconds, and mutes them for you throughout all XBOX Live games.

I did not know that.

That was one of the mains things that had bugged me about Lives Voice Chat system, good to know that won't be a problem if I can ever get it to work.
