I've fought this stubborn guy twice and beat him swiftly, netting myself two Landeel A decos. Though that isn't what I'm making the post for...

So my question is... has anything like this happened for any of you and what do you think affects this outcome?

as FT best I could do was spam diga lv 32 (no nosdiga yet) and he never went down for me x.x I should likely try landing burn on him though (if it can land on him?)

He can be defeated, it's just doing enough damage within the short time limit. Some classes can dish out more damage than others :/

At least I know he goes down now.. I had to hide behind some boxes and answer the door. I luckily lived but it did waste some time.

I don't know what conditions need to be met in order to best him; I just beat him with Assault Crush, Gravity Strike, and Spiral Dance with a little Dus Robado on the side.

Edit: Okay, just deal high damage fast then? Guess Fighgunner is a good class then. ^.^

Simplest way = burn trap g / burn trap EX X4 + attack, afterwards time is near up and he is almost dead. (Don't say that you do not attack when he is burning)

Bring a fire weapon, he's ice element. Use a strong PA that will keep him from moving around. If it has launch/knockback/whatever, so much the better.

Personally, I'm a beast, so I knock his ass into a corner with Rising Strike with a 38% Fire Blackheart and then nanoblast and beat him to death.

If you're not a beast, obviously that won't work for you, so just get him in a corner and pound away with whatever you have. It's not hard at all once you get the hang of it.

Dont know. If you have ready at the start you should still have some time. But I wouldn't recommend it.

Tornado Dance him into a corner and you might be able to pull it off, I suppose. Just keep TDing him. Make sure it's a Fire-element double saber, though, since DSes aren't particularly strong. He's ice-element, so ground doesn't help.

And what does Dragostea Din Tei have to do with PSU? XD

XD Odd, this was just me replying how I felt I should, not even trying specifically for the card, but I've been running around Plains Overlord with him, he's pretty strong, and 5 levels higher instead of the usual 3. =3 He has the invincible beast for nanoblast.

My wording could be off by who knows how much. There should be a point in which Tylor is saying how he won't forgive the Guardians for what happened to all the beasts. I believe it was the second choice of the two you got, involving something about Tylor not being the only one who went though rough times/pain from the events.

Hmmm. I have cleared all of episode 2 story missions 1-10. I chose all the answers listed above during this story mission. I defeated Tylor in epi 3 part 2 first part. And I completed epi3 part 2 and still no card. Seems some ppl get it and some don't. This is going to require a walkthrough since I have wasted 5 hours already trying to figure it out.

Got card on 1st try and I had answered similar if not same as Oniko. I totally didn't expect to get it based on my answers. I also got Blackheart board on 3rd try. 1st run he dropped a Landeel B and 2nd I couldn't beat him. Didn't think I was going to get him on the 3rd try but I did and he dropped the board... Just a few more mins till it comes out. Now I just got to get a beetle to drop for parum pass.

It's not that some people will get the card and some people won't. Everyone who makes the right choices gets the card...if you have Ep2 clear. If its not done, you can't get it.

That doesn't really prove selections mean nothing. I don't know if they do or not, but if they do, there's probably only one or two that have anything to do with the card(especially since only a few even relate to Tylor at all, why would the Lumia ones help in getting Tylor's card? He doesn't care, I just listed what I picked XD). It could also be that you have to defeat him for the card. Either way it's not guaranteed from the sound of it since people are obviously not getting it.

A slicer hits hard, but it's slow, so the damage over the length of the fight might not be enough.

I defeated him with a newman female wartecher using a high % 9* single dagger and buten spam. A single hit only does like 800 damage, but the rapid fire damage will outdo the big numbers in the long run.


Not sure if this is true or not, but I've heard getting his card just requires you to defeat him, and then choose to shake his hand at the end.

I think slicers are probably too slow, both times I beat him it was with my 2/10 mugunruk and I'm only at 106. I hit him with all 3 parts of Majarra and it does about 750 per hit with the final strike being around 1500. I got to try to remember to buff myself first... would probably make the fight less stressful.

The one time I lost I used a 28% Crimson with Gravity Strike. You really need a fast PA + high damage.

Yeah, I third the notion for slicer being too slow. It's only three hits, and fairly slow ones at that, and since it's only one opponent, Slicer's true advantage of hitting multiple monsters is useless. Twin claws work very well, 20% fire claws can easily do 800-2000 with Renzan, depending on buffs/which part of the combo. Hikai worked too, as always with Hikai, save the second part for the sure hits. My friend managed to beat him with Majarra as well, so I'd say there are quite a few options to choose from.

I'd personally go with anything that keeps him off his feet as well as being strong. When you knock him around a lot he's a nice easy target.

Im not sure, but I couldve sworn I saw Tylor do a fire kick at me (possibly the new saber PA?). Did anyone else see him do this or am I mixing him up with Lumias Foie.

To add, all his attacks look so much better than ours. Like his mech gun bullets are actual photon bullets and not just flat flashing strips that looks like that candy that is stuck on paper.

Yeah I use Agtaride and Zodiaride right after I come out of the door before I clear the mission part. Then, once the fight starts, I hit him with Twin Mayalee to knock his defense down and then let my SUV(Sturm) rip. Once thats done I just spam Majarra with a 28% Fire Muktrand. Its still really close with a Fortegunner since they're not typically DPS( except against large enemies).
