Damaged System file?

I just had a poweroutage while online PSU, after the power came on i went to log back in got werid message that it wasnt reading my mem card
then after i hit try again it read it and i got to netword mode screens where it made me download another system file and said my other data is damaged and needs to be deleted, question is what is it deleteing?
How'd it happen i was just lobby bumming when the power went out.
it wont delete my offline files will it?

no i dont think so just try removing and puting the memory card back in.it happens to me when there is a power outage in my house too.
