Yes, you have to fight him though, not shake his hand (I believe you have to have finished all of Episode 2 as well, but not 100% sure). Yes, the new huge hive is Ryucross.

I selected to shake his hand and still got his card. I'm not exactly sure what the requirements are for getting it. I've heard several different stories.

You have to defeat him and choose the right answer. Forgot which one but defeat him then shake his hand at the end.

Maya for first part, Laia for second part of EP3 mission 1. Don't know if we get the Tylor one for doing the second mission as of yet since i'm 360 only ATM

No. Maya and Lumia for Chapter 1. Laia and Tylor for Chapter 2.

For all the choices I think I selected the second option; those are usually the "good gaurdian" options. It's similar to bioware's games where usually the top option is good, middle is neutral, and bottom is bad, except the order is reversed.

I failed to get his card many times before I went back and made sure I completed the last chapter of episode two. Once that is done I think all you have to do is beat him in the fight (spam fire attacks and burn him if you can) and choose to shake his hand at the end. As NPCS go he ain't bad. He has the invincible beast nano, does probably second best melee damage compared to Tonnio, stays next to you but will swing away when near monsters, uses rising strike with his lightning blackheart a lot knocking down the mobs, and is 5 levels above your toon.

Both Eyce and Alex completed Episode 2 before 3 was released, so I can't say for sure that's a requirement. They also both beat Tylor the first time through, so I can't say that's a requirement either. But, they both made extremely opposite choices (Eyce = good, Alex = bad/rude) and both got his card, so the choices must not matter at all.

Well, I made the "good" choices and beat him the first time without beating Ep. 2 and didn't get the card. So as lame as it is I think that's the key requirement.

I didn't get his card when I lost to him.. (Due to having to answer the door real quick... >.>;; )
And then did get his card when I beat him the second time.
