It was rough. I met a lot of people who were rude or outright mean to me cuz I'm low level. But eventually I met some cool higher level players who halped me on a few runs and even let me keep all the drops. A few strangers who heard me complaining about the rude players even out fitted me with some level appropriate gear and fill my inventory of 'mates, atomizers, charges, 'ides and Scape Dolls. One person even gave me a [B]Crea Saber for me to synth when I get higer level.

Thanks to these strangers now turned friends, what started out as a miserable intro to online gaming into a very rewarding experience.

So to my friends, Ashe FFXII, Bontamaru and Demonia....

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

And to all the newbies, don't give up hope.

Hmm,Welcome to PSU.

Thanks for sticking around at least.

Yeah, people can be fairly rude in just about any game really. I'm sorry about the trouble, but there are some real nice people on both servers. You just gotta find em.

Yours is a story shared by a lot of players. I had similar experiences when I started last October. The nice players are out there. You just have to find them.

Welcome aboard, it's always nice to see new blood! I remember back when I started playing PSU. Fortunately that was back when the game was first released, so I never had to deal with verbally abusive high level players. I also didn't have to deal with Moatoob, because it wasn't even available yet. Too bad you aren't on the 360 servers, or I could give you some more spare weapons to help you get started. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Welcome to PSU!

I'm just going to echo what people have said really. There are plenty of decent people online, but obviously, some idiots too. Look past them, and you should be able to find more friendly players.

Yes, agreed about there being many nice people online, though I have to say, I do feel PSU has a higher % of a-holes than other MMOs I have played, including PSO. You are welcome to play with me anytime axicore http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

You've obviously never played FFXI for any length of time....if so, you were on the wrong server.

I've also replied to your lil Player Matchup board post as well, but i'll just repeat that I'm willing to help out when I can play, just leave me a message at my shop, search Yuneiko. If not that, tell me when we can meet up.

Welcome to the wonderful world of PSU. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Like everyone has said, there are lots of fun, nice players out there - they just don't stick out like the losers do. However, I find it quite hilarious when people are rude in an online videogame. Just goes to show how horrible their real life must be if they take it out on people in a game. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Enjoy the game - and your friends, most of all!

I remember when i joined up around januari or maybe it was februari last year.

I got like the best intro ewa in the beginning carrier of this game online. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif
One guy asked if i had a shop..and when i said no.
He gave me enough money to get a shop started at the get-go.
And then gave me some weapons that were good at that time also.
Now that is what i call generous. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Welcome aboard! Good to see you fight through the rough patches and carry on playing.

I'll admit I was completely void of friends until half a month into the game when an old friend from the same FFXI server found me from a recommended shop search (Shows my originality for making names; huh?).

Since then I've been increasingly social and active when new folk ask for aid. Even the simplest of things like a free trip to the Casino for their first time.

As far as I see it; The game isn't much unless you make some amazing friends. Which I hope to/am doing consistently.

Wow, thanks for all the words of encouragement guys and girls!! I'm on the PC if anybody was wondering, Universe 1:02. I can usually be found at the Guardians Colony 4th floor in front of the stairs to level 5. Or at the Casino dancing on the number zero on the roulette wheel. My characters mane is Id, a red CAST. And thanks again for the words of encouragement.

Hi

Jennifer
Feb 6, 2008, 03:46 AM
I just started playing recently too, I used to play a lot of PSO before this and I play with a bunch of friends, so I wasn't exactly looking for people to play with online. However, most people have been very cheery and friendly and it's an absolute joy to play and talk to people. I've been on several runs with new people and they were very nice and generous. I've found PSU's fanbase to be very 'local' feeling, it's really nice. Also, hi, everyone... D:

sorry to hear you met a brash crew first =/ but I see alot of ups and downs in this community, I have played since release but come and gone a few times so most people never remember me x.x but its always good to have friends to do runs with, just wish we could get more players
