Battle: New PSOW ads :(

You know I always wanted to make a thread about the ads on this site since some of them seem so interesting. Though lately they seem to be those "CLICK THIS AND WIN....BABY!" or "RACE FOR A LAPTOP!" ads you see on places such as Myspace.

Anyway what do you guys think?

Protip: Browse PSOW without speakers or sound on. Or maybe no speakers and simply headphones that you don't put on.

*edits* I remember that used to be a popular saying here for a bit. Hmm I remember some ad I accidently rolled over and loud noises came blaring out. Some of the interactive ones were fun. Like the dropped the food from the US Army and the Ninja Warrior maze. Too bad I don't like Ninja Warrior that much.

hey i dont like adverts either, but... well, this is a free of charge forum and it's not exactly free of charge to run. So I can certainly understand the want to generate revenue when possible.

After being on the internet so long, I just pretty much got used to seeing so many ads. It just sits there in my peripheral vision, if within visual range at all, not really impacting my reading, typing, or whatever it is I'm doing on a page. Sometimes, if I am in goober mode and like the website a lot or am a regular, I just click on the ads to help out a little.

I dont watch commercials on TV or hear them on the radio, so I suppose I can tolerate them a little bit better than most people. Internet ads dont have squat on the hideous amount of sensational bombardment from television commercials.

Oh I have no problem with them having ads, just they haven't been looking as cool as they used to be.

This Professor Layton for Nintendu DS thing has got to be the most regular, non blinky ad on PSOW, ever. Just some fat guys with moustaches, some wide eyed lady, and a suspect looking guy in a hat on the left.
