Now that my Xbox has RROD'd for the second time while playing this game, i'm seriously considering getting PSU for the PC.
But i've got a few questions on setting up the game on PC.

Ok,
1. I'm guessing AoTI is out in the UK, but i've heard things about delays and what-not, just wanted to double check this.

2, Also just double checking, but is AoTI a stand-alone on the PC?

3, How exactly do I set-up a guardians license thing? Is it done through the game or do I have to goto Sega's website?

4, and finally, obviously i'll be starting from scratch and i'm wondering how likely it is that i'll be able to find extreeeemely low level parties running around?

Any help much appreachiated http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

1. As far as updates I don't believe that UK has a delay, but yeah EU should have AoTI

2. Yes, as far as I know AoTI is a stand alone game

3. Just go to http://phantasystaruniverse.com/index.php (copy + paste into your browser) on the right hand side of the site there should be an image for PSU Play SEGA, just click on that and it will bring you to the billing site and then just follow the steps from there.

4. Not quite sure bout this one, but once you meet some people from here you should be able to get a few lvs fairly quick, but I would check the 4th floor liniar line, and parum Mad beasts and you should be ok.

1. Yes it's out in the UK on both PC and PS2 - I have both.

2. Yes it's stand alone on both versions

3. Go to playsega.com and it takes less than 5 minutes to get you up and running.

4. Because it was only released on the 25th January in the UK, There are plenty of new players joining all the time. Some of the higher leveled people like myself are also very willing to just hang round with low levels and help get you boosted, a few AMF runs and you'll hit level 20 and be on an expert class within half a day or less.

Welcome to the 'hax side' http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y46/MagpieMouse/MewnPSU/emot-awesome.gif

Here's your complementary asbestos suit and beginner's trainer script. Standard issue for PC, don't worry ;3

See you soon! :3

If you're wanting some help for PC/PS2 servers, i'm willing to help. When you get in, leave a bulletin board message at the shop Yuneiko.

I just started a new character. Lemme know if you wanna team up! Just drop my Danger Girl's room if you're interested and leave a message. We'll figure something out from there.

haha, well I have heard that the PC/PS2 server has been in a good state for a while now considering how bad it did get.
The only thing i'm worried about is using the mouse + keyboard controls :s That'll take some getting used too.

And thanks for the offers Yuneiko and Danger_Girl, hopefully being a Brit won't bugger up being able to meet people as much as it did on 360. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

The keyboard controls are really hard to use. I strongly suggest you get a controller. I use an Xbox360 control pad with the xbcd 360 driver.

http://xbcd360guide.50webs.com/download.html

Here's a website with all the downloads and guides. Although, I'm not sure whether you need the PC version of the 360n controller or a regular controller works fine. IMO, I think a PS2 controller works far better for this game.

I also suggest using a controller as well. I use a cheapy Logitech controller that plugs into one of my USB ports (it comes with its own disc to download its program to your PC).

Yeah the Xbox360 controller will just plug right into a USB port. Microsoft has a 360 controller driver, but it's not as good as the one's you'll find at the link ilovetypemoon already provided.

I know a lot of people who swear by the PS2 controllers, so if you prefer the feel of those, you might want to look into the adapter.

I already had the 360 controller available, and played the demo on the 360 prior to the launch, so that controller was the easy choice for me. You'll be able to customize everything exactly to what you used with the 360 with the xbcd driver, so you might prefer that setup.

Wish I could play the PC version, even if it were just the offline mode. But NOOOOOO, my damn PC is such a piece of crap, and the DVD drive is so worn out that it won't read any discs. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

Thanks for the link ilovetypemoon, yeah it looks like my Xbox controller is the obvious choice for PSU. (It won't be doing much else anyway >_>)

The keyboard is very easy to use. But if you are use to a controller then yes get one because there is a learning curve to the keyboard. After doing it so long I can not use a controller.

Keyboard: Controls like warmed over ass, but you can chat like the dickens :3

Controller: Much easier to control, but you have to put it down to chat. Unless you use Vent :3
