It took me 20 runs of Plains Overlord S2 to find a [B] Kan Yu. Others found 11*s on their first runs. It's all luck still, but you're likely to find one quicker now than before.

I just ran Plains Overlord ten times on S2 and I got a [b]Buccaneer and burn resist....

I'm usually good for 1 S rank weapon or board every 5 runs of an AoI mission, they've definitely upped the drops though as I found a ton of Vahra Nails and stuff which was rare before.

it's *realy* easy to see the drop difference between a v1 mission and a v2.

run a quick mission like Sleeping warriors or Rainbow Beast, and the AMOUNT of stuff that drops (not just S ranks, but other stuff too) is higher.

A half hour after the update was released, I joined a party for Plains Overlord S2 and there was a [B] Storm in the boss box (which I just so happened to get). I think this is proof for the PSU v1 drop rate increase.

well after doing a De Ragun run, I got a Buccaneer with 17% ice and a Buc board from the boss box not to mention a ton of 10+ star materials. That wasn't happening before today. I've also noticed that some of the enemy spawns have changed. I'm about to do another DG run to see if I can get something more than a Mot Ebon from the boss boxes

I'm not entirely conviced they have boosted the drop rates on all the v1 boss boxes, I've run Plains Overlord on S2 25 times and I've still only found A rank weapons/boards and a single burn resist.

They have definitely moved everything around and boosted the mob drops though (I've found loads of Vahra Claw boards and Pythons) but I'm guessing they've only boosted select boss boxes.

Just ran two more times. First run got nada, and all 7 star mats. Second run got alot of 10 star mats and a Kan Yu board from boss box. Man this game is wierd.

I'm thinking the boost is only for certain map runs. Like I ran atleast 50 DG S-S2 runs. I always abandon the mission until I get the map where 3 Seekers spawn at the start. For me, it's an easier run in Block 1.

It's also 2 more maps that start the same way except you can get either 2 Special Ops gunners or 4 Bomalta. Not to mention the other maps where it's a gate in front of you and a map where you have to go right after starting.

When I found my blackbull, I restarted the map like 10 times until I got tired of doing that and did the map where the 4 Bomaltas spawn. The boss battle was pretty easy since Maggs was trying the shield thing the entire battle.

Something doesn't add up, the drops on Plains Overlord have been worse for me than before the 'boost' as I'm not even getting burn resists or scape doll boards every few runs anymore. There must be something else to it like the number of people in a party or mission ranking as I'm soloing and skipping some mobs.

I divided my time between Duel, Groves and Plains yesterday and in maybe 30 runs I found a Rikauteri and Sori / Mind.

Ok...I think my theory holds some weight

I'm doing a DGS2 run right now and I kept restarting the map until got the 4 robot spawn at the start. In the 2nd room I got a Muzzlefever board. Hopefully I can keep trying this map and find out if it's true.

Last night I did run with the 3 robot spawn at the start and didn't get jack.

20 minutes or so if you've got Killer Shot over level 20. Bring lots of Photon Charges if you do use KS and lots of Di and Trimates. The toughest challenge is block 2. When missiles are fired, I use my NPCs as shields.

sigh...during run after to run for rare stuff is 1 of the few things PSU still has from PSO.

you giving up because it cost you money is kinda dumb. I've spent over 2 mil doing that run the last few months. After my first solo, I was ready to quit. I wasted 10 scapes just getting to the boss and it took me over an hour. Keep running them on S until you get the hang of it. I can do 15 minutes for block 1 and 2 and 5-6 minutes for the boss.

Like I said in a earlier post for that map, the first thing Maggs keeps trying to do is put up his shield. That's when you shoot his upper arm with a rifle. He'll try like 6-8 times before he starts another attack. If he's giving you trouble, do the run on C, then watch and learn his patterns.

The rewards are great. 3 S rank guns in 24 hours and I didn't have to spend 1 meseta of my 6.5 mil to buy them.


the best way to do it is buy like 10 low rank rifles with lots on PP, link them with KS, and bring them with you. This saves on Photon Charges and you can still go to the lobby after a spawn to recharge.

got me SPS, ragnus, cati power, 9 vahra nails, 2 vahra calw [B]'s, buccaneers, 3 jitseen boards, 2 hardline boards, a gigush line board, a de ragan tail, 3 hanzos and 3 caliburns

I was starting to wonder wat happened to all the burn resists D:

and 2 runs of GoF gave me 11* bow and then 10 runs of TD gave me cardia senba, buccaneer, blackheart, tesbra, and2 poison resists.

Drop rates are looking awesome


but i do agree, that the plains overlord level has dropped the least rares from what i've seen

I did. I just finished my 5th run with the 4 robot spawn. 1st on S got me Blackbull, 2nd got Muzzlefever and Rattlesnake. The only note worthy thing I've found in the boss boxes in the last 3 runs was a Sleep/Resist.

I don't think so. Before the most recent update, I had never received ANY rare boards or items from enemies in god knows how many runs of DG. In about 40 runs of DG S2 this weekend I got:

It was pretty funny since I gave my first two Needle Cannon away to friends who helped me hunt previously. Then in the next few runs, the both got Needle Cannon boards and gave them back to me. I made one for myself and gave another one to a guy I meet a while ago who was doing Rikauteri runs with me back in the day. Then I go off to do some Plains Overloard for about an hour. Do a quick GoF before going off to sleep and get another Needle Cannon.

I started it as Kubara this morning and will check it again when I get back from work.

The sad part is I only have two laser PAs, Dark Prisim (lvl 19) and Phantasm Prisim (lvl 6), but now have 4(5) laser cannons. Degahna Cannon, Meteor Cannon, Meteor Cannoc, Needle Cannon, Needle Cannoc (pending).

Rikau-senba seems to be the hardest thing for me to find right now. After the first two drops, I've mainly received Sori-senba and Kikami boards. I'm to the point where I'm going to have to sell those boards to the NPC.
