NPC parties

I have a few questions

first of all, i know HOW you get the npc's cards, but how do you add them to a party?

also, I've seen these little things following around people. what are they?

Go to Form Party in the Party menu. Simple as that.
And if you're talking abotu Range-Mags, and TECH-mags, they are lefthanded weapons that act as Turrets and Off-hand TECH weapons, respectively.

so, do they automaticallty fire? I'm sure only certian classes can use them, right?

Range-mags fire automatically, and don't use PP. TECH-mags are like left-handed Wands. Everyone but Fortefighter, Foretecher and Protranser can use Range-mags, and all Techer classes can use TECH-mags.
