This thread is for you
to write lots of weird haikus
do it now or else.

I don't care about
the subject that you will use
just match the format.

If you speak normal
you will be thrown into a
pit of flaming ants.

Retniwreven

Yes, I am aware
that haikus are supposed to
be about nature.

Why are you wanting
haikus to steal for
your purpose of death?

Fail. Your haiku is
missing two syllables in
the middle part there

My little Newman
While older than she appears
Is still a loli

My kind passive beast
A Drinker and a Gambler
Has quite a problem

My nonchalant CAST
Outdated and Middle-aged
In need of upgrade

My cute small Human
Lover of red and justice
Hot-Blooded for life

While quite a nice bit
of haiku on your post there
I must inform you.

The haiku about
your beast, the gambling addict
is missing a bit.

The poor middle line
she is one syllable short
but an easy fix.

You are quite correct
An adjustment is needed
Just need one more thing

Anduril

I despise hiakus
They are very annoying
Why must you do this?

Alizarin
Feb 11, 2008, 01:59 PM
This is a challenge
I wonder how long this lasts?
Could be a while now

It could be much worse
haikus do not take much work
unlike some poems.

That is very true
But what I must know is this:
Why did you start this?

Alizarin
Feb 11, 2008, 02:05 PM
If I were to think
A possible reason is
Perhaps of boredom?

Anduril
Feb 11, 2008, 02:11 PM
You may be right there
I can see that as the truth
Alas I am hooked

Because I felt like
making a thread about some
haikus at work, lulz.

Anduril

I need to eat now
I think I'll get a bread bowl
The kind from Quizno's

This is really fun
I think I'm getting the hang
Of this haiku stuff

Albiet not true
And wholly proper haikus
Just the basic form

Retniwreven

The kind from Quiznos?
That is where I was going
to get lunch today.

Anduril
Feb 11, 2008, 02:58 PM
Yes one from Quizno's
The best soup there is chili
There's one on campus

There it is now fixed
My error shall now be seen
Fixing word in bold

Ah, good old Quiznos
They make some good sandwiches
But my wallet cries

Correct me if I
am most mistaken in this
but that line seems short.

Time to go back and revise
I feel like a fool

Retniwreven

This thread makes me laugh
No one has broken format
This is very good.

Anduril
Feb 11, 2008, 03:47 PM
I think since just four
People have posted in here
Format will not break

Alizarin
Feb 11, 2008, 04:00 PM
It is still early
Most people are not free yet
Give it some more time

Retniwreven
Feb 11, 2008, 04:10 PM
I have returned from
my adventure to Quiznos
yay costly sandwich

Anduril
Feb 11, 2008, 04:12 PM
Costly but good no?
Five bucks says this thread gets screwed
Up in one hour

Alizarin
Feb 11, 2008, 04:12 PM
I feel hungry now
Quiznos is too pricy now
Need other option

Alizarin
Feb 11, 2008, 04:14 PM
Five bucks goes to food
And I can't see that happen
'cause I got class soon

once more to face the music
but I might fail too.

Up in one hou-r?
I believe that is five notes
At least how I speak.

I pronounce it as
Follows in this line: ow-er
As you see that's two

Retniwreven
Feb 11, 2008, 04:23 PM
Ah, I see your point
I myself say it in one
so that might be why.

Anduril
Feb 11, 2008, 04:25 PM
Yes, region can change
How a word might be pronounced
But now off to class

Retniwreven
Feb 11, 2008, 04:29 PM
I am here at work
there is not a lot to do
no classes for me.

Why do people think
this is the actual way
to compose haiku?

the wind cavorting with chimes
is innocent of algebra
two frogs dance the foxtrot

Sord
Feb 11, 2008, 08:06 PM
haiku is only good
when said and written
in it's original language

decent discussion.

Anduril

Now to satisfy
Those who are haiku purists
With a nature one:

The little bunny
Runs from the hungry bobcat
That's some good eating

Alizarin
Feb 11, 2008, 10:48 PM
colorful forest
soft refreshing springtime breeze
raining pink petals

astuarlen
Feb 11, 2008, 11:12 PM
Not the point not the
point not the point not the point
five more syllables

Dhylec
Feb 11, 2008, 11:17 PM

Shits makes no grammatical sensenomicals. Sentence, just broken, into 3 liners.

When our Solly becomes 5th grade English teacher(in a couple more decades after some more fulfilling jay oh bee's and the money ain't importante') he will teach urazz some haiku!

That's right.
I didn't Haiku in this shizzle. Deal witzzle, shigglez.
