I like to put a backstory on my Characters in PSU/PSO
I think it would be interesting to see others like this, list your chars and backstories that go with them.

My profile/backstory for my PSU characters

Kayla (Female Newman 19 years old): Twin sister of Noland. Raised on the Guardian's Colony by her Newman mother and Human father, both of whom were Guardians, her mother working in equipment development and father part of the Mobile Defense Forces. Growing up she was always fascinated by her Newman background, though she never had the desire to follow the teachings or traditions of the CoG. Joined the Guardians along with her brother to follow in the footsteps of their parents. She can be quite goofy on her time off, but when it comes down to missions she is all business .

Noland (Male Newman 19 years old): Grew up with his twin sister Kayla on the Colony. Being a Newman he was always physically weak, but this didn't stop him from excelling in athletics such as track and field. Joined the Guardians at the same time as his sister. He is seriously most of the time, though after breaking through his initial shell he is a likeable person with a vast wealth of knowledge.

Keighlah (Female Beast 24 years old): Raised by her single father on the Colony. He was working as an engineer for the Linear Line when the SEED attacked, and he was badly injured when the tunnel he was in collapsed. Though he survived, he was unable to return to his job. Becuase of this Keighlah joined the Guardians, not becuase she had a desire to protect Gurhal, though she was not opposed to the idea, but rather to support and care for her father with the money she recieved from missions. Rather calm for you average beast, Keighlah is all about getting the job done, by any means neccessary.

Kailah (Female CAST manufactured 10 years ago, physically and mentally ~21): A CAST built by the Guardians, Kailah worked in Administrations before the SEED invasion. Realizing that she wouldn't be able to feel satisfied with just sitting safe at a desk while others risked their lives she enlisted in the Mobile Defense Forces. Becuase she was not built specifically for combat she still has some issues with combat and certain weapons and as a result often stands as far back as she can and concentrates on using ranged weapons, the only weapons she is really comfortable using.

This might take a bit of explaining... and it's by no means complete. I just have a rough framework and am winging it here.

Setup: Somewhere deep in the Andromeda Galaxy, on a desert planet orbiting a lonely yellow star. Algol, in the year AW 4328. Society has once again risen from it's dark ages into a thriving technological brilliance. The people are happy and dedicate their lives to the arts, education, and to exploration. Old knowledge and technology is once again re-discovered, and mysteries of the system's past are being unlocked. Climatrol, Nirvus, the Biosystems - all restored and once again operational, working for the betterment of of mankind. Within the records these systems held were discovered the truth of what happened to the planet of Palma and it's destruction. The people learned of a multitude of worldships which had exodused the planet, most of them destroyed, but a precious few escaped the system and spread their bretheren across the stars. And now, finally, an effort to re-establish contact with them is being made. In the course of investigating possible trajectories, Astronomers happened upon a similar star system to their own deep in space. Gurhal. Initial analysis revealed intelligent life forms nearly identical to their own, and the system was marked for a manned exploration to see if this was one of their missing colonies.

Out of this desire, saw a rebirth of the Numan project. Using bits of recovered data from the ancient Biosystems memory cores, humanity had learned of a fourth, artificial, race that once existed. One that was highly intelligent, extremely adaptable, and well constructed for agility and combat. Using the damaged memory of the Biosystems labs and the long dormant traces of Numan DNA in their own genetic code, scientists once again reconstructed the Numan genome and gave birth the Numan race. The NM-3000 series. The pinnacle of three thousand years worth of research. These would be the explorers, and eventually the first emmisaries to this new world. The new prototypes matured very rapidly, reaching adulthood in little over a year - and absorbed knowledge at a stupendous rate. Reya, the first perfected prototype, was given the assignment. The hopes and prayers of Algol went with her as she departed into the unknown.

NM-3084 (Reya)

Race: Numan

Reya was a charming girl, naive yet headstrong and with an unshakable sense of justice. She arrived in Gurhal shortly before the Centennial of the Tripartite Treaty and quickly blended in among the Newmans of Neudaiz. She diligently reported back on all aspects of Gurhalian life. Their culture, history, politics, technology, etc. For the most part she kept to herself and simply observed, but that changed when the SEED came. Seeing the destruction and anguish around her - Reya could not allow herself to sit back and watch as this system fell apart. She joined the system-wide private security firm "Guardians" to assist in the struggle against the SEED. It was not long before things began to go terribly askew. The SEED presence disturbed the flow of Photons throughout the system. Photons, a technology not explored in Algol, carry with them the memories of the past - from which Divinations are often preformed. On Reya, they had a similar effect - unlocking a genetic memory unknown to exist by her creators. Her dreams were filled with terrible nightmares of torturous experiments and sorrow. Of betrayal and death. These memories, both her own and not her own, of those she loved and cared for - dying, and leaving her alone.

Eventually, even the true and original purpose of the Numan project was revealed to her. She was a monster, bred for nothing more than the act of total genocide. These dreams tore at her sanity as she fled to Parum, to the ruins of Old Mellvore city where she lived, much to her nature. She dwelled there for some time, like a cornered animal spending her days in a veil of rage and torment - attacking anything that dared to come near. She scarred the biosystems lab insignia into her cheek and from then on was known only by her serial number: NM-3084. Reya, was dead.

Then one day, everything changed. A man in a long white robe came to the city accompanied by a red haired woman and an entourage of scientists and CAST soldiers. They had come to inspect the damage from the blast which had destroyed the city so many years ago, and to study what effect the A-Photons in the reigion had on the native creatures in the presence of the SEED. NM-3084 savagely attacked the group, ambushing them from above and overwhelming them. Though she killed many, she was eventually subdued and would have been killed herself if not for the intervention of Hauzer. He recognized that she was no mere Newman, and saw in her a talent which he could used if harnessed. He had NM-3084 restrained and returned to the Illumines facilities. There he took NM under his care, taught her how to channel and control her rage, and eventually persuaded her to eventually join his own cause. Not for the restoration of Human rule, but for total annhilation. NM agreed, and from then on has worked within the fringes of the Illumines to help bring about the end of life in Gurhal. She holds a station now similar to the Arkguard - a double agent who still uses her position and knowledge within the Guardians to serve Illumines ends.

However, things are slowly changing for NM-3084. Hauzer, who once promised to hold her high in his confidence, has found a new project and focus for hs attention... Helga. It was all another lie, another betrayal. Just like Eusis who promised her there would be no more monsters like her. Just like Rudy who promised to always be there for her, but then died shortly afterward, leaving her alone with and with child. The jelousy over her apparent dismissal roils within her - and it's yet to be seen whether she will be stay loyal to the Illumines or be an instrument of their destruction.

Neika (NM-3122)
Age: 1
Gender: F
Race: Numan

Neika is the second operational bio-construct in the NM-3000 series. Like her sister before her, she is highly intelligent but highly nieve as well due to her education coming from within the confines of a labratory rather than real-world experience. She is a bit shy, feeling accutely "different" from those around her, which makes her a bit strange to others. Just as well, as she has more important matters to attend to. However, to those who manage to get close to her, she is kind, headstrong, and very loyal ally. She arrived in Gurhal shortly after the Confinement systems had been activated and has resumed Reya's station in information gathering. However, she is also actively looking for her sister, and so has decided to join the Guardians as well in hopes of finding out what happened. Her story needn't be told, as it is detailed in PSU: Ep 2: Ambition of the Illumines. However it should be noted that she has formed a particularly tight bond with Hyuga. Although they are not romantically involved, Neika feels drawn to him - as he reminds her strongly of someone she may have met before. (Hyuga reminds her of Hugh Thompson and Josh Kainz. And the fondness comes from Josh, who had a crush on Nei but was unable to tell her his true feelings before she died) Although she has not revealed who she truly is to him, she often calls on him to investigate relics and assist in her research. Neika has also grown rather close to her instructor, Laia, after an incident on Moatoob where the purified SEED-Forms were revealed to be infected Beasts. They share a bond forged through similar tragedy, as Neika knows all too well, being part Bio-Monster, what it means to have to destroy your own kind. Although Neika feels sympathy and pity towards her "cousins", she will not hesitate to destroy them if they threaten herself or her friends.

Neika has, also, been having nightmares with increasing frequency and severity. It's not known at this time whether she will be able to cope with them, or if she will end up like her sister.

(Note: There is a bit of extra information which isn't known to Neika at the moment. The true purpose of their presence in Gurhal isn't to investigate their society, but to act as agents in preventing it's destruction. A far distant future Lutz has forseen the spreading of the darkness to Gurhal. He had seen it happen on Ragol 1,000 years earlier - but was powerless to act on it. However, with the rise of society, Lutz and the Espers were able to influence the Numan project and their destination. He sent each of them with a "Nei Claw" - special Laconium weapons capable of defeating the darkness. However, this in itself is a lie as well. The Claws are powerless. NM and Neika both ARE the Nei-Weapons of legend. Living weapons once again bred to wage war, but this time - a war for salvation, to free another civilization from Algol's inherited curse. It's a bit confusing, but Nei in regards to weapons traditionally has absolutely nothing to do with Nei the character or Numans)

Arisa
Age: 7
Gender: Female
Race: Cast

Arisa was created on Parum as a replacement for clerical oriented CASTs within the AMF who were retiring from service. However, an irrepairable flaw in her PENI (photon enhanced neural interlace) kept her from ever seeing service. Without a purpose, Arisa was taken in by a family of Humans living on Parum who had connections within GRM. With them she lived and worked repairing aftermarket GRM equiptment and upgrades. The family was religious, and so Arisa became intently interested in the concept of Photons and the Holy Light. While not religious herself, she took to learning techniques in her spare time.

When the SEED attacked Gurhal, her families buisness was nearly destroyed and many of her friends and family were nearly killed in the fires of the attack. She had to do something to protect those she cared for - who had given her so much. She petitioned once again for enrollment in the AMF but was refused, and so, joined the Guardians - using the money she had left over from her missions to send home and help support her family. Arisa was a bit of a klutz due to her inherant malfunction - and struggled to gain acceptance and finish training. She chose to specialize in technique casting initially, but due to her limitations as a CAST and her handicap, she was forced into the role of using firearms as her primary offense with technique support only as backup. This move was hastened by an incident in which while on light-duty, she accidentally cast a lightning oriented technique while partially submerged - nearly frying her completely. She was saved by another Guardian who was in the area on a seperate mission - Neika. Although Neika wasn't familiar with Photon technology - she knew a great deal about cybernetics and was able to patch Arisa up enough to make the trip to maintenence, saving her life. The two have become good friends since the incident, with Arisa often taking the role of Neika's liason to this strange new world.

Arisa also fell victim to the SEED infection outbreak, causing her to go out of control and attack her fellow Guardians. She attacked Neika and Laia as they raced towards the President's position, and Neika was given no choice but to forcibly diable her. After events had settled down, Neika set about to rebuilding Arisa. Using her knowledge of cybernetics, Neika was able to recover Arisa's memories and personality and dubbed them over into a new Neural Network using technology from her home system. As a result, Arisa is much more capable with techniques and competent in battle. (The Job Rebalance after 1up cup) Although only meant to be temporary, the new chassis Neika fitted Arisa with has stuck with her. To Arisa, it is a sign of her maturation as a sentient being.

Lyle
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Race: Human

Lyle was born to well-to-do parent on Parum. He is intelligent, athletic, enjoys a good sense of humor, and is slightly cynical. However he's also a very generous and humble, yet outgoing person. He's a devout follower of the Holy Light, and while he stringently denies being a Maiden admirer - he does keep her picture beside his bedstand. Lyle loves the serene nature of Neudaiz, and wants nothing more than to live there some day. But for now, his life is already occupied with preparing for his future. He enrolled in Lovono University in the scholars city of Rozenom, majoring in astronomy and biochemistry. He was there the day the Colony dropped, and only by sheer chance did he survive the initial blast. Crawling from the rubble, Lyle did what he could to ease the suffering of those dying around him. Knowing he had to go for help, he ventured out into the burning rubble - only to find that the A-Photon reactor aboard the colony was attracting SEED-Infected life forms. It was not long before he was attacked, but survived due to the intervention of a Guardian who had also survived. The Guardian explained the situation as they made their way out of the ruins, but they were again attacked - and the guardian who saved his life was killed. Lyle picked up his equiptment and weapons and continued on - eventually making his way to safety.

Barely escaping with his life, Lyle vowed to join the Guardians to help them rebuild and to personally make sure nothing like this ever happened again.

E-126 Omega
CAST-Male
Age- 103

E-126 Omega is a unique CAST, designed from ancient plans of constructing the ultimate Combat Machine, E-123 Omega, a creation of a so called "Doctor Robotnik". E-126 Omega is named so because of the failures in the creations of the past models of E-123, leading to E-124, and E-125, until a successful model was produced, using the finest parts GRM and TENORA had to offer for it's creation.

E-126 Omega is one of the highest Ranking GUARDIANS in the organization, and is renouned as the greatest Rogue Rehabilitation Speciallist in Gurhal. He's succesfully rehabilitated one hundred and two Rogues to law biding citizens.

E-126 Omega's systems and Hardware are so durable, pretested to survive the force of two GRM Linear Linar Trains hitting him from both sides, that he can survive even the strongest of blows and still stand up, fully operational.

E-126 Omega met his one hundred and third Rogue Rehab Placement one year ago.

Kitty Arika
Beast Female
Age- 16

Kitty Arika is a former Rogue, she was raised by Rogues and taught to be obedient to those who deserved it.

Arika was inlisted in the GUARDIAN's Rogue Rehabilitation Program, selected by E-126 Omega during her Rogue Squad's procecution Trial for a mass train robbery, value exceeding twenty billion Meseta. She would have met a Life in prison sentence, with no chance of parole.

During her Hehabilitation, she saw that is was surely more pleasing to help others then to help herself in the Rogues. She was welcomed to the GUARDIAN's as a full member after risking her life to save a schoolbus of children from a devestating photon explosion, inwhich she herself paid for the bus, and the damages made by it, putting her near broke. That is, until Omega became her perminant partner.

Weeks after they had become full partners, a new recruit was enlisted to them for training.

Kitty Zelos
Beast Female
Age- 13

Zelos was a very poor girl, with no parents to speak of, looking to get a better life out of her days, she joined the GUARDIAN's to do so, though, making her broke.

After her schooling for a year, sence she was only 12 at the time, she was enlisted to training under the ever famous, E-126 Omega.

Zelos, after being trained by Omega, and Arika, was accepted into the GUARDIAN's, though still poor.

Arika and Zelos made a great friendship during training, so with Omega's consent, Zelos begame a member of their squad.

During a dead period, were Zelos recieved no missions with her party, only Omega and Arika permited, she began to research Omega's libary of Weapon Development and Photon systematics. she quized herself everyday, from the formation of Photon Arrows of the Yohmei Longbow product, to the vastly Complex Nanotransformer matter dismemberment and storage system design and process. Eventually she designed weapons of her own, and eventually constructing on of the most powerful guns in existence, used by Omega now, the Degahna Cannon, which she designed based on the Adahna Degahna's Left Arm, and then produced many more, leading to a massive profit.

Zelos sold the plans to the Undergound Kubara Development Coperation, or UKDC for short, the Degahna Cannon is now designed to be made by Partner Machines, using the synthesizing parts of the Cannon's primary parts.

In the end, Zelos, Arika, and Omega became faithful friends, and became one of the best tactical GUARDIAN three [wo]man[cast] squads.

Here's the backstory for my character, its a little old but it dose the job.

Name: JOE (full name Josephina Skye Windwalker)
gender: female
race: Beast
age: 27

Born on Coral, JOE’s parents left her as a young teenager on Pioneer 1 for new hope on Reagol leaving JOE a boarding pass for Pioneer 2. Her mother being a famous chef making food with photons left JOE a box of two-dozen cookies that can practicaly reverse death if you time it right, and her father left her a red null storage bracer that can at times teleport her away from any situation that would cause death and leave no trace of the teleportation.

When Pioneer 2 finally left Coral for Reagol JOE joined the military and eventually the Ranger Special Forces then the Spec Ops. So on her last mission her orders were to collect and retrieve incriminating data on a Newman by the name of Black Paper so that an arrest can be made, but in the process of collecting this data off of a terminal in Black Papers head quarters JOE is captured and transformed (literally) in to a beast that was half Red Fox and half Human. Still today JOE has no idea how long black paper held her as his pet because most of the time she was in her nanoblast or her new found split personality Maeaszloli, because the switch from JOE to Maeaszloli is like nanoblasting half way. So after Back Paper had his fun with JOE he dumped her in an ally way where a hunter found her and took her to a hospital where she was able to discover her new identity.

Soon after the events in the hospital JOE joined the hunters as a RAmarl by hiding her animal like features under concealing clothing. So now fast forward a year or two and throw a large amount of racism from those who found out her real identity along with some ridicule by those who were told by the ones who discovered her true identity up to the day she met Shadow. After completing his test she became a member of the Black Hand, so far she had stood by him through thick and thin from the battle on top Mt. Fiji, the death of Nand, and the destruction of Basilisk. JOE is now one of the executive leaders of the Black Hand and a Fortegunner class Guardian.

Real Name: Kod Regoar Naïnsev
Class: HUmar
Backstory: The ambitious and ultra-serious Kod took on basic military training early on in his life and became a Hunter. Dilligent and regular work, on top of his own personal initiatives, have allowed him to climb up the ranks, at the cost of his social life: his high standards and low regard for most of the people he's worked with have set them against him and reduced his circle of friends to the few loyal ones who are able to follow his pace.

He managed to reach all the way to a second-in-command position in the Guild, although his tenure was short. While investigating a network dealing in mutant prostitutes, he found himself ensnared in a legal problem that may cost him his job: an android he bought and configured in his youth had resurfaced as a potential threat to Principal Tyrell. With the android still under his legal charge, he had no choice but to apprehend the android personally and muffle the story as much as possible. His pursuit, however, failed, and the android managed to get all the way to the Principal's office before finally being taken down by one of Kod's subordinates. In light of the incident, the furious Hunters Guild requested him to hand in his resignation. He comitted suicide in his condominum as the news delivered the story of the failed assassination attempt on the Principal.

Character Name: Shurikane
Real Name: Shrike "The Chainsaw" Naïnsev
Class: RAcaseal
Backstory: Built by Kod as a college prank, Shrike's objective was to put on a scare and then deactivate after twenty-four hours of operation. Poor programming on Kod's part, however, caused her to operate far beyond that timeframe.

She was found shortly before the takeoff of Pioneer II, by a black market group intent on stowing away in the ship. With parts of her code fixed, she became a much more human person to deal with, although she was in full knowledge that, due to an android's source code being far too long to proof-check, bugs and glitches would forever remain. Most notably, it was found that severe emotional trauma would cause her to fall into a panicked rage and regard everything around her as a deadly threat that needed to be destroyed at all costs - the result of the glitch setting all her emotional variables to their maximum value while simultaneously overclocking the central processor.

The landing on Ragol became a turning point in her life. During a clandestine expedition in a network of ancient ruins, a skirmish followed by a teleporter incident left her with the hands of a Delsaber. Upon waking up in a maintenance facility and learning that she would be destroyed due to the threat her hands posed, she killed the technicians around her and escaped. Unfortunately, the black market group didn't want to see her either: with several murders on her record, she was too hot to be around with.

Frustrated, she began work on a series of experiments, infecting androids on purpose with parts of Ragolian monsters and baiting them with the promise of true freedom. Due to the transformation, her data spike found itself able to communicate with flesh and nerves as well as circuitry, allowing her to command Ragolian flesh into taking a particular form.

Her plans culminated in a forced meeting with Principal Tyrell, where she held him at gunpoint and forced him to sign a bill of law that would allow the existence of hybrid androids, thereby relieving Shrike of her initial death sentence. Before she could coax the Principal into obeying, however, she met her defeat at the hands of a Hunter who had just arrived on time and managed to push her off the office's platform. Although Shrike was witnessed falling to her death, her remains were, however, never found.

Character Name: Minishuri
Real Name: Sierra Ilica
Class: RAcaseal
Backstory: Handbuilt as the pseudo-daughter of Shrike, Sierra is the first and only of her kind: an android created out of mag parts, thereby giving her a few of their powers by default. With a full backup of Shrike's memories in her, and her advantage of seeing those from a third-party point of view, she happened to be much more mature than her mother despite her childlike appearance, essentially having "learned" from Shrike's experiences and figuring out the good from the wrong.

Since she did not participate in her mother's final assault, Sierra found herself wandering the surface of Ragol before being found by the Guild and brought back to Pioneer II. Placed under close scrutiny and a battery of examinations, she suddenly became a valuable asset to the government's department of technology. Despite gaining a bit more freedom for herself later on, she would be spied on for the rest of her life, eventually dying of old age as her organic mag parts failed.

Backstory: A reincarnation of Sierra, born as a deus ex machina and fed with the knowledge of her previous lives - the psychic Zinackst was sent down specifically to monitor the now zombified Shurikane and attempt to get the android's psyche back under control.

Backstory: Employed by the department of technology as a security android, Caesar serves as a bodyguard for one of the many scientific bodies of the department's research facility, protecting them from the occasional accidents of the lab.

Backstory: This partially lunatic ranger is cursed with hemophilia coupled with an ability of self-regeneration. With his wounds unable to heal properly, Vigore bleeds on an almost constant basis, and his pain level variates between mild and excruciating.

Character Name: Denwo
Class: RAcast
Backstory: Although he looks like an android, Denwo is actually a human clad in heavy camo armor. After turning renegade early on during the Ragol operations, he became known as a ruthless sniper, targeting Hunters on the surface for a reason yet unknown. It is rumored that he is employed under a lucrative contract aimed specifically against the Hunters Guild.

Backstory: Gifted with a varied array of psychic abilities, November is a natural at techniques and scoffs at her lesser counterparts. She gained notoriety in the guild for her habit of casting offensive techs on teammates who didn't please her, while at the same time being openly sensual to those who did.

Backstory: This shadowy man seldom teleports down to Ragol and is only limited to recon and investigation jobs. He operates strictly alone, and never operates if there is the possibility of someone seeing him. His true mission is a complete mystery, but his luxurious home hints at a lucrative private contract.

Backstory: Part of Shrike's black market group - an outspoken, rude and constantly annoyed bitch. Covered in tattoos and jewelry, she prefers the thrills of melee to techniques, often fighting monsters at point-blank range with submachine guns.

Real Name: Ricker Damos Karl
Class: HUmar
Backstory: A well-placed administrative and public relations officer of the department of technology. He was one of the few persons to deal with Sierra Ilica on a regular basis. He later met his death at her hands, hostility between the two cultimating in the girl throwing him off a skyscraper. Upon landing, it was revealed that Mr. Karl had actually been a highly sophisticated android.

Backstory: The reincarnation of Shurikane. Much mellower than in her previous life, she holds on to a rather independent and rash attitude. Backstory: Street Defender was the prototype of a new generation of androids fitted with a massive array of internal guns, guided missile and rocket launchers. Although the initial test on Ragol was impressive, the engineers found him too bulky and costly for his size, and further prototypes came in the form of a larger, manned powered suit fitted with cheaper components.

Backstory: The only reason Bourgogne got into the guild was due to a hefty bribe and a passion for giving a few whacks to a booma or two. She has a fair talent for techniques, but is spoiled by the fact that she sees the ground operations as a form of entertainment. She's been known to refuse to go into areas she finds too damp or oozy.

Born Kyousei Jiyuu to a legendary fighter of a father, he was expected by everyone in his early Hunter training classes to excel and succeed his father. However, after a devestating event happened, Kyousei's father, Ryoku Jiyuu, left on Pioneer 1 in order to try and finish the fight that he and the other legendary fighters were waging. However, the enemy found out and managed to seal Ryoku inside the ruins before destroying the Central Dome. Kyousei assumed for over 20 years that his father was dead.

After Pioneer 2 entered Ragol's orbit, he diligently trained as a Hunter, but always found himself more skilled with magic than with a sword. His skills would be put to the test soon after, though, as one fateful day he was with his mother when robbers raided the area, killing Kyousei's mother.

When Kyousei woke up, he was alone, but not for long. A newman noticed Kyousei there and took him in. From then on, Kyousei took on the name Shadow in order to withdraw from the pressure and to have Pioneer 2 take him for dead. After training under the newman, Assailant, he was to be put under watch by Assailant, who, unbeknownst to Shadow, was being trained to become an assassin for Black Paper.

After Shadow was left to fend for himself, he met a Hunter named Jay during one fateful mission. During the mission, a strange phenomenon happened. While researching the ruins of the Central Dome, a Dragon attacked the two rookie Hunters. A strange force intervened, causing Shadow to go berserk, killing the Dragon with barely a tenth of his capacity, and forcing Jay to blank out. When Jay woke up, he had no memory of anything. After Shadow had him remember his name, Jay joined him as a partner in hunting for Pioneer 2.

After a few missions, Shadow recieved one fateful mission where he met Black Paper once again. After a fiasco involving the upper echelon of Black Paper, and a couple of innocents, Shadow was forced to kill his former teacher, Assailant, and Black Paper was arrested. After that, Shadow, Jay, Silva, and EDDIE formed the organization the Black Hand.

The group split up to recruit. Shadow managed to recruit a slew of capable fighters, most notably JOE and Cap, and things seemed to be up until old rivals resurfaced and teamed up to bring the Black Hand down. Many of the group's members were killed, and Ragol was put in utter turmoil. To add to that, Shadow was kidnapped and was mutated right in front of Jay's eyes. He was forced to destroy the body, but Shadow's conciousness miraculously survived, and was eventually put in the body of one of the Communion of Gurhal's founding fathers, a newman. After that, the Black Hand decided that staying on Ragol would have them killed off for sure, so the fractured group left for Gurhal.

An old rival, Basilisk, soon followed, and after landing on Gurhal, inherited a portion of his family's power, the ultimate power of darkness. He was then given a mission - to unlock the seal binding his sister, who was the true heir to the ultimate power of darkness. The only way to unlock the seal was to kill the five founding fathers of the Communion of Gurhal. Two were already dead. Turaru, Rutsu, and Shadow were the only ones left. Basilisk killed both Turaru and Rutsu, but has yet to kill Shadow. If Shadow dies, Basilisk's sister Kumori will be released, and inherit the true power of darkness, and will be unstoppable.

Hagane, given the nickname Flathead for communication purposes, was created as an experiment by Sam Nand to test the effectiveness of transmetal CASTs. Sam was confident he'd be widely recognized for his work, but when Jean Carlo Montague was praised for his work on the MAG, Nand was crushed, and began to take out his sorrows on his two experimental subject CASTs, Hagane and Ninhongo. Hagane, fearing for his life, contacted every friend he knew. One of those friends suggested they have the Black Hand, a new Hunter's Guild, help them out. Hagane sent a message to Shadow, who in response sent one of his own to assist Hagane's allies in freeing him. The mission was a success, however, one of his allies was infected by a virus which turned him into a killing machine.

Hagane joined the Black Hand and has been a big help ever since, but when the Black Hand began to crumble, his sister was killed right in front of him. Since then, Hagane's been more dedicated than ever to help out Shadow and the Black Hand.

Of late, Hagane has headed back from Gurhal to Ragol on instinct alone, instinct that something might be there that might be of use to the Black Hand...

Shiyounin Ankoku, known to Chronicles readers as Basilisk, is a man whose destiny was decided the day he was born. His family was born on Ragol, and his sister, Kumori Ankoku, was destined by the tribe to inherit the ultimate power of darkness. This being so, the tribe decided to send the family to Coral to start their reign of destruction there. However, their plans were discovered, and Kumori was murdered. The family was given passes to Pioneer 1, where Basilisk's father was kidnapped, and he and his mother barely escaped. His father, along with Ryoku Jiyuu, were sealed in the ruins.

The two, back to square one, decided to head back to their tribe. They settled in, and Basilisk's mother had a son with another man, and named him Jay. Basilisk and his close friend Nergal often teased Jay, and set him up illegaly on his first mission. However, the two didn't count on Shadow joining Jay, and what's worse is, Basilisk's father tried to communicate with Basilisk but horribly failed, communicating through Shadow and Jay instead. Shadow was turned into a D-cell infectant while Jay, who couldn't handle the communication, lost his memory.

After abandoning Jay, Basilisk and Nergal made plans to wreak havoc on Ragol. Nergal was going to preach his family's word to the Hunters of Pioneer 2 and establish a devout following, while Basilisk was going to raid villages for the money to support this following. However, Nergal's following was halted by Shiro Ryuu and his camp, while Basilisk was beckoned by a successful communication with his father to destroy Mt. Fiji. Basilisk didn't count on resistance from Shadow, however, and was forced to retreat, but came back with Nand and Kireek to cripple the Black Hand. He managed to successfully destroy Mt. Fiji, but only after the body was taken over by Shadow, and Basilisk was completely unaware that the body and not Mt. Fiji itself was his target. A communication from his father revealed that Shadow was his target, so he followed Shadow to Gurhal.

After landing in Gurhal, he found a family of thieves called the Sisterhood and joined up with them to use them as pawns in killing Shadow. He then learned of his objective at the HIVE after a long conversation with his father, and inherited some of the family's power to carry it out. However, it wasn't enough, and not only was he defeated, but the Sisterhood was destroyed.

After being released from bondage, he now has the link to his sister's revival and four of the five CoG founding fathers dead. Shadow is the only thing standing between him and the end of existence.

During his training he had several run ins with Ethan Waber and Company and was wanting to join them in there adventures. One day the alarm system went off and it notify ever guardian that Ethan Waber was to be stop for an attempt to assassinate President Dallgun. Then he confronted Ethan.
As much as victor didn't want to believe it he had no choice to try and stop him. Of course Ethan was way stronger than victor and brush him aside. Then Victor was approach by a man in white that went by the name of Howzer and asked him to be a Double agent for the Illuminus and Guardians. Victor accepted only if he can get another shot at Ethan and prove himself to Ethan as a equal.
So now Victor is working for The Illuminus and Guardians. He trains everyday to Better himself to so when next time him and Ethan Square off, Ethan is gonna have a handful to deal with.

Assumed to wander Ragol aimlessly searching for a purpose in her life. At the age of 22, she was killed- presumably in a fatal encounter with a Ragol Sil Dragon.[/spoiler-box]

Bio: The second stage of the experiment which gave birth to Uriko. The treatments were suppressed this time, to prevent the same happening. However, she was infused with DNA taken from Uriko, and as such had inherited her violent side. While not as openly aggressive as her 'sister', she instead suffered constant violent nightmares. She was eventually released of her own free will, and deemed a failed experiment. Now she works for the Hunter's Guild on the side, while using her free time to trace the last steps of her deceased sister, hoping to learn more about her. She is a veteran of many battles, and has suffered many injuries in her time as a Hunter- the most notable being the loss of sight in her left eye. She now wears an eyepatch to conceal the scars, and keeps herself to herself.[/spoiler-box]

Eyes: Originally lilac, changed to white over time.
Bio: Teika is the final test subject in the experiments which created Terra and Uriko. The testing team at this point were annoyed at the lack of an acceptable specimen, and decided to use underhanded techniques in the creation of Teika. Infusing her with the DNA of Uriko, and training her in various combat methods, she quickly became extremely proficient, most notably with dual swords. It is rumoured she may be infected with a strand of the D-Factor, though this is merely speculation and cannot be proven. However, over time her appearance has changed (her eyes in particular used to be lilac, but have become grey-white. Her voice is very broken, due to a complication with her vocal cords during her creation.

Like Uriko, she also forced her way out of the test facility, being accompanied by help from the outside. She is extremely unpredictable, and somewhat of a masochist. She will take on entire squads of enemies at once if she feels they can supply her with an adequate challenge. Numerous reports have also suggested she is insane- many WORKS Squads reported her meniacal laughter after single-handedly disposing of assault units. She uses a set of ornate katana with incredible skill, but this does not explain how she has defeated so many of her enemies without any assistance.

She was assumed to be dead after an assassination attempt, but reports of a Newman fitting her description keep appearing all over Ragol.

Bio: Neith was a recon droid assembled and programmed specifically to find and assassinate Uriko after she escaped the facililty. After 2 weeks of searching, the two finally met. Uriko was far stronger than Neith's creators had anticipated, and as such, Neith was defeated and shut down. Uriko then re-activated her, inputting erroneous commands to confuse the droid. When reactivated, Neith felt as if she had no purpose, and no goal. She began wandering Gal Da Val Islands, and stumbled across an ancient, cursed blade, which possessed her, and corrupted everything she knew. This blade led her across Gal Da Val, and brought her to a rift. Abandoning everything she stood for, she threw the blade aside, and entered the rift- never to be seen on Ragol again.

The rift led to an alternate dimension, called the Gurhal system. Confused by everything in the new world, she decided to hide away from society and gather a small force of Casts to work under her. From there, she has commanded a small base, primarily dealing in black market goods- though it is rumoured she deals in assassinations, for the right price.[/spoiler-box]

Bio: Uriko originally lived in Dagora City, with her father. Her mother died shortly after her 3rd birthday. She lived a quiet, peaceful existence until her 16th birthday, when she told her father her dream was to join the Guardians. Outraged (possibly because he didn't want to lose the only other link to his wife), he forbid Uriko to ever sign up.

She decided that joining the Guardians was the most important thing she could do, and ran away from home, and requesting asylum on the Guardians Colony. Despite numerous requests from her father, she refused to go back to her old way of living. After not recieving any communication from her father after the Illuminus SEED-Virus attack on Moatoob, she paniced and returned home, only to find her old house desolate, and an unmarked grave nearby.

Infuriated at the sickening acts of the Illuminus, she requested to become an instructor at the age of 19, to teach the youngest Guardians the value of their families, and how to act when lives are at stake.

After the destruction of most of the Guardians Colony, she relocated to Parum. She has a small number of friends in the Guardians, who have stood by her since the day she joined. To Uriko, they are her family.[/spoiler-box]
