Shigga Baret question

I have never actually seen a shigga baret in action, though i am searching for one. I know it has a special bullet animation like desta but my question is if it has a special sound like Tenora 7*+ handguns (since baret fires "solid" bullets as opposed to photon bullets)

I got one recently, but nope, it still makes that goofy shotgun noise like all the others. It looks tiny and crappier in comparison to the Shigga Desta, imo... but it's an excellent shotgun nonetheless.

alteric. b'duki maganac. shigga bomac, destac, barec. these are all better in performance than their name brand counterparts. maybe a couple i'm forgetting, or are ok for certain race/class, but the rest do suck though.

Yeah I'd totally go for Barec over the real deal.

Don't forget Beam Vulcanic, Maggac, B'duki Hadoc, Hanmateric, Laser Cannoc, Meteor Cannoc. Good weapons all. Kubara grenades are the pits though.

You actually have to grind the Barec though to see its true power.

The look of the Barec vs. the Baret is enough for me to want the Kubara version first.

At +10 (fail chance of it making that far though) it outshines the Baret as well.

I tend to favor Att./Acc. over PP, so most Kubaras suck unless you get them to 10/10. However, Shotguns are a special case. Stat wise they are practically invisible and they have so much PP I'll fall asleep before I empty all of them. Come to think of it, Shotguns don't do much outside of spread your character ATP 5 ways and slap on an SE and elemental mod, haha.

I'd say Kubara for Shotguns though. That way the PP will run out in 6 weeks instead of 4. You do loose the special looking shots though. There is just something magical about giving some uppity Go Vahra a facial with 5 bowling balls to the teeth.

I'm sad the Baret doesn't have a special firing noise, that would have been really cool.

I don't like Kubara S-rank guns for one reason: they lose the special firing animation! When it comes down to it, I'd rather use a gun with crazy bullets than one with slightly better stats. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

... you mean spreading your character ATP plus his Power Charge unit five ways. Shotguns are perfect for it, considering the huge damage multiplier they stack on your shots and the absurd amount of PP they've got.

That's the exact reason I always use an HPC on my fortegunner. It does wonders for shotguns and mechguns.

I never saw the advantage in using an HPC over SPS outside of Shotguns, due to their laughably low PP consumption. The 4 damage that HPCs have ove SPS doesn't seem worth it for other weapons.
