The "ex" devices?

Can someone tell me what they do?I know we are supposed to get them tonight, but what do they do?

from what i understand they transform your pm into a type it couldn't before. Say you raised a pure tech pm but really wanted a GH-420. Use this device and it will become a 420 w/ pure tech stats. thats how i understood it correct me if I'm wrong please

That makes me wonder... since it turns into a PM of other lines like that, will it change synth trends? And if it does, will the change in trend mean anything when synthing? Or will that all be superflious like before?

Depends on if you want a Pure PM or not. You can always just cram it full of Monomates, then do quick runs of Unsafe Passage C to get it to the right level and BSt if you don't care about synthing.
