The cloning person says you can bury nei off somewhere after she gets offed... Is there an event or scene for this, or do you just drag her rotting body around forever?

There's not really much of an event scene for it. It's pretty much just assumed to be done, after the action was suggested, so no, you don't really end up just dragging it around for the remainder of the journey.
