PA + Elemental effects

When using a PA can you still get an elemental effect, such as freezing any enemy if you have an ice weapon?

What kind of PA's are you talking about? Skills, bullets, or TECHNICs?

As far as skills, there are no skills that inflict a status. But, you can use S-rank Twin Claws, S-rank Claws, any kind of Whip, and some specific weapons to inflict different types of statuses with normal attacks or with PA's. Here is a list of melee weapons that I can think of that can inflict statuses:Jogiri (8* Sword) - LV 1 Poison
Gudda Skela (10* Knuckles) - LV 2 Sleep
Sweet Death (10* Double Saber) - LV 2 Sleep
Fuka-Misaki (10* Twin Claw) - LV 3 Freeze
Yamata-Misaki (10* Twin Claw) - LV 3 Virus
Daiga-Misaki (10* Claw) - LV 3 Freeze
Zanshu-Misaki (10* Claw) - LV 3 Virus
Deva-Zashi (10* Dagger) - LV 3 Silence
Vish (7* Whip) - LV 2 Shock/LV 4 Silence
Vishic (8* Whip) - LV 2 Confuse
Vish Tien (8* Whip) - LV 2 Sleep/LV 2 HP Charge
Vish Kuseb (9* Whip) - LV 2 Burn/LV 2 Freeze
Vish Adan (10* Whip) - LV 2 Virus
Vish Adac (10* Whip) - LV 2 Stun
For bullets, each element inflicts its own corresponding status:Fire - Burn
Ice - Freeze
Lightning - Shock
Ground - Silence
Dark - Infect
Light - Confuse
For TECHNICs, they kind of follow the trend for bullets, but there are exceptions. For example: Ramegid, a dark TECHNIC, having a chance to inflict confusion.

if you mean weapons that inflict SE, such as Daiga freezing, or deva silencing, or sweet death putting to sleep, all these effects can happen when you use a PA

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it still the weapons special ability still works when using your photon art. I've put silenced, put to sleep, and frozen countless enemies with various weapons. My favorite is freezing enemies while using Shousen on my Daiga-Misaki.
