Because they aren't different. The EX device is used to change it from say a 450 to a 414.

Because you can't turn your 413 into a 413.. twice. You just wasted 100k.

So wait... I can't turn a 413 into an ex 413? that's pretty lame...

You can't turn it into an EX 413 because there is NO difference between a 413 and an EX 413. All the EX devices do is let you change whatever PM you have into another series, such as a 413 into a 42X, 43X, 44X, or 45X series PM instead of having to stay in the 41X line.

it can change series. example: 413 into 422, before you would be stuck with 41X but now if you can EX device you can move it to another line.

To change between different models. For example, to change a 414 to 454.

it reverts it back to a 413 should you use one of the new devices to get the butler or boy

Ok so i was wondering if i persay change my PM from a 432 to a 422 will my pm still use guns and will its synthing emphasis still be firearms

the synth stats will remain the same, as well as the Bst.

the PM itself will use the weapons used by that particular pm. 422 example will have fists.

DEM_CIG
Feb 18, 2008, 10:17 AM
i think the boy has the angel wing one that heals and the butler has the other new one... i think...

Yes. The Boy type has Rapia Fluge, the angel wings SUV that heals the party.

The Butler type has Paradi Cataract, the Divine Punishment SUV (Heaven Punisher's special, from PSO)

It looks like Madam's Umbrella. It's a reference to PSO. Paradi Cataract looks like Divine Punishment. It's a reference to PSO. They don't have to make everything exactly the same as it was in PSO. You're a poor troll.

I think they should have added some kind of incentive to the EX devices other than change because some of the older models need it. But I love my new 42x, so I'm not too disappointed. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

well then what's the difference between the EX device and the normal device? -_-

littleman2347

You can't change the pm out side of it normal class. You can not use a normal device and change a 414 to a 450, but you can with the EX-450 device

between EX partner evolution things and regular ones? sorry if this has been asked.

beatrixkiddo
Feb 18, 2008, 07:35 PM
a regular PM Device only allows you to change from a 410, 411, etc, to another 410, 411, 412, etc.

An EX Device would let you turn your 410, 411, and so on, into any other PM type, as long as you have enough B. Stat.

Feb 18, 2008, 07:37 PM
yes, but the levels will stay the same. It'll look like and use the same things as the tech ones, but it'll still have the same levels on strking and everything.

In looks and battle weapons, yes. But it's stats stay the same.

hmm ok ty guys

beatrixkiddo
Feb 18, 2008, 07:38 PM
Yeah, you can turn any PM into any other kind of PM with this, provided it's over level 80 and has enough B. Stat points. Of course, the synth type that it's good at (Striking, TECH, Armor, Ranged) won't change. Just the appearance, weapons, chat lines, etc.

If your b st is high enough you can change any pm into another kind of pm and back again using ex devices. your synth stats won't change, even though the pm will act, talk, and look like whatever you change it to you! even a 100 striking pm can now look, act, and talk like a 450 series! for example.

The EX devices allow people to keep their synthing and battle PMs as seperate uses. For example. A fortefighter needs a striking PM to synth Melee S ranks, but as a FF, he also wants a healing bot. Now thanks to the EX devices, he have a PM that synths striking weapons for him, but once he changes it to a 450, he can also have a healing bot in the same PM.

In the old days, he would only be able to do this if he made TWO PMs on 2 characters, and probably using up alot of meseta to build another PM for either synthing or healing purposes. The EX devices are cheaper by comparison and only needs the player to get enough battle points.

What exactly do they do??? Are they only power-ups or do they make your PM do more like actually do it's full photon art or act smarter.

They just let you jump ship between PM series. Like if you had a 43X, and wanted a 42X you're able to do that now.

Extra evolution devices for partner machinery have been added. They are useable on all GH4xx types if required conditions are met. And "GH470" and "GH480" are new partner machine models.

* EX Device GH41x ;Required: Battle Points over 10

* EX Device GH42x ;Required: Battle Points over 15

* EX Device GH43x ;Required: Battle Points over 20

* EX Device GH44x ;Required: Battle Points over 25

* EX Device GH45x ;Required: Battle Points over 30

* EX Device GH470 ;Required: Battle Points over 10 (Boys type)

* EX Device GH480 ;Required: Battle Points over 30 (butler type)

They allow you to change your PM to whichever one you want.

For example:

in the past, if you raised a 410, you could only make it a 411, 412, 413 or 414. If you wanted, say, a 452, you'd have to first raise a 450 in order to change it.

A PM device EX allows you to change your 41x series into any other PM you want.
