I'm sitting here grinding my new viper that I synthed, and it gets to 0/6 because I fail epically hard, and I got to try again, all I have is 1 S+10 and I have 3* luck like that, and I go to use the S+10 and it says word for word
"There is no chance of success. Do you want to begin the upgrade process?"

What... the... hell?

Look again. It either says "no chance of failure" or you're using an A+10.

No, it says no chance of success, and I just bought a 1* rifle to check if it would work on that, it said the exact same thing. and if I click yes it just acts like it normally would except the bar doesn't appear, luckily it doesn't take away my grinder either...

you need to use the same rank grinder on the same rank weapon or it will not work, its an S+10 because its for S rank weapons not because the grinder is really gewd.

Ahem, more on topic. I see this as meaning one of several things.

1. ST's stellar translation team fucked up again. (Has anyone seen the real no chance of success message? If they have and this is it, this option is null and void.)

2. ST threw in a nice surprise for people still using glitched grinders. (Stupid because all the true offenders were supposedly banned)

3. ST doesn't want you wasting a valuable grinder on a POS S rank. (srsly mirite?)

4. Hax (etc.)

5. CATS is angry. (He wants you to make your time.)

Except the picture clearly shows the S+10s description, which mentions being usable on any rank of weapon up to S. The OP even said he tried it on his Viper.

Thanks, but i already new that. Try using any grinders that u have that arent glitched, like a S+1.

I think they might have something in effect that makes this happen after you use so many S+10's, because I've grinded... a lot of stuff today, *counts down the list* 6 weapons... if added together, went up 22 grinds, but a lot of them failed... more than once, when they were at 6+ grinds, so I've used A LOT of them today. Hopefully I won't get banned or something... I think I might go into depression if that happens. PSU = my life when my girlfriend isn't around.

That feature must have been recently added, because I've thrown A rank grinders on C rank weapons before. Confirmation?

well i do not know about that but when i started playing and did not know much about grinding. i try'd to use a B grinder on a C rank weapon and that came up on my screen, i try'd it any how outa curiousity and it broke. so i learned my lesson, if you where able to do it then congrats i guess.

Okay mind-f*ck time. I went and bought an S+1 just to see if it'd work because my S+10 wont do ANYTHING AT ALL. I get back to parum, select the S+1, it says very high because it's 0/6 like that. it succeeds, I noticed something funny though... my S+10 disappeared...

it is true i cant say for sure that this is how it works, i am just speaking out of experience. everytime i have try'd it that seem to happen to me so i dunno i guess im just unlucky or something.

Those look like my screen a couple of minutes ago, except it said success, except it seems to all be working again, because I took my supposedly glitched grinders, and grinded my viper to 5... stupid vipers... pissin me off. Either way, I'm happy that I'm not about to explode... I havn't done anything wrong so I shouldn't get chased by ST (although not doing anything wrong doesn't mean they won't hit you with their "bat")

Once you fail to upgrade an item EVERYTHING will pretty much fail after that. If you try all on one sitting there is A VERY low chance of it working and thats why it said that.

Yeah, that's why I successfully grinded some A rank with S+10 <.<

he said it disappeared. glitched grinders were reported to have disappeared as well. I think he bought a glitched grinder.
