Design a boss.
In my case I'm gonna say I want the PSO ep 3 bosses back.

By the PSO3 bosses, I mean i just want Pollux as a boss:

100% agree, Though i've been kicking around another boss idea in my head that i think is similar to the OP's idea. I'd like to see a monster of similar size to a bil de, make it's emphasis on speed with only one area to hit. The one area would negate any shortcuts in it and force people to use a bit more thought (atleast i think). I know my idea sounds a lot like Magashi from the events, but i think a buffed magashi would make a really good boss fight...

I'd like some kind of twin-boss, either two different boss enemies occupying the same area or a boss that has the ability to split. Either way I'd love to see some synchronized attacks that can be used just about any time instead of the bosses needing to get into specific spots on the floor.

They need to make a boss battle which spans an entire level. Like, the actual level has only one block which is a fairly simple fight to the boss warp. Once you enter the boss warp and you're teleported to the next block... the begining of a living maze that traps and attacks you as you fight your way to it's core. Seperate enemies would also besiege you while in the maze to try to impede your progress. Perhaps have seperate paths, for both solo players and one (or two or three depending on the number of teammates you have) which requires teamwork - but provides more challenge and rewards. Have the different paths you take lead you to different forms of the boss before ending in the final boss battle. Perhaps have several blocks to the fight, each with their own distinctive look and ambience. At the end of each block have a form of the boss you have to fight. Which form of the boss you fight depends on which path you take, and should be tailored to parties of the appropriate size. No more than three blocks though. Fourth block would be the final boss.

I also like the idea of the various boss stages being formless masses of ungulating flesh, eyes, gnashing teeth, and talons.

Better looking final boss than anything in PSO/PSU.

And finally, have it completely inescapable. No returning to town/lobby. No restocking items. Make it a real endurance trial.

Just something different.

A venue of checkerboard and npc-shaped shrubs ala Alice in Wonderland and a large Kangaroo boss with boxing gloves.

A nostalgic visit to seabed - and a memorable fight against a 20 ft. jack-in-the-box recobox...and his jellyfish entourage...

Fighting a steroid crazed bikini-clad Ethan on the beach?

I really dont have many good ideas =( The only new boss type dude I like is the huge rappy, and thats a mini-boss. But its fun to fight. White dragon is kinda cool looking. But dragons and flying dragons and reskins get old thats for sure.

You can only fight him if you, and 3 friends have Photon Erasers.

His only attack point is on his face, and you have to fight your way up to that point. Fighting enemies along the way. Then, when he gets down to 1 HP, you, and 3 other people, must fire at him at the same time with your Erasers (crossing the streams the whole time) and that will finish him off.

And guess which boss is hated almost as much as SHIELDAN BOSS DULK/MAMABRRAIN

I say a shrunken Vol Opt, but every bit as deadly. Something along the lines of knowing what/where/when to shoot.

a driving fight where you're on a vehicle or something and you have to catch up with the boss, pull alongside, then whack him a few times before he darts off again and the driver has to catch up.

Another idea would be a boss fight where the environment can be interacted with to fight the boss.
i.e. a fortegunner with a rifle shoots at stalagtites in the celing to bring them down on a boss that has to be lured into position by the rest of the team in order to be killed.

Meh, Pollux and Castor are basically the same as Dulk Fakis. Transformed and controlled by a greater force spawned by The Darkness (The Germ and the SEED respectively of course). I could say it's a good idea to have humanoid bosses like Pollux and Castor, maybe those two vs. an entire party, which would be kinda fun as an alternative to the usual huge boss.

They need to bring back something like the Vol Opt fight. Well, it's more or less what they haven't brought back.

As for something new? Nothing would be more challenging than a boss made out of nothing but Megid that shoots streams of Megid and creates shockwaves of Megid.

Octopus boss. And it can't die just by hitting the tentacles, you have to hit the head for damage to count.

Tentacles should also randomly grab someone and drain their hp.

Seed Helga's hair could work like that.

I love of the idea of bringing back Vol Opt, but for my version, it would need to be a co-op mission.

What you have is similar to Vol Opt 1, crazy face in monitors, etc.

But when you start beating on his weapons, he borrows a page from the final form of Falz, and ups the ante. He possesses a party member at random. At this point, the party member is basically a spectator, as thier character goes berserk on allies. The best part, is that the allies CAN kill the possessed person to kick the boss out... but of course, thats killing them. Also, to make it nastier, if the possessed person has scape dolls, and the team drops them, a doll is consumed and the boss stays!

And as a final problem, have a constant stream of humanoid enemies running in, either CASTs or Armed Servants, depending on how you do the battle.

Not sure how you would work this into the whole PSU world, maybe as a form of SEED contamination or something, or some long-forbidden technic. (Think the photon seals in Ep 1, but more sudden and powerful)

how about a boss with sequences and levels?

u fight him in one stage then after u do enough damage he teleports to another area, and to get to that area u need to fight mosnters that are like him!

They should add a boss battle that has 4 forms. They could be re-skins, with this kind of boss battle it doesn't matter. But all of the bosses forms look like shadows of the bosses.

First form is a light boss. The robot from nudaiz, except he looks like a shadow of the boss, exactly the same but looks like a shadow. After killing this boss a door opens and you fight the red robots from GoF and some Kakwanes, Olghomons, and Goshins, and you continue going to the next block which is the next boss.

The second boss can be The dimmagoulous-thing from moatoob. Again, he is the same but takes the form of a shadow. Same thing happens you kill him and he dissapears, a door opens and you fight monsters to the next block. This time you fight Vanda Orgas, Bil de Vears, Drua Gohra, and Jishagara, then get to the next block to fight.

Third form of the boss will a dark infected Mother Brain. After this fight you fight Seekers, Grinna bete S's, Vahras, and Jarbas. Then at the next block you fight SEED monsters. Those seed plant things, Dilnazen, Sendillians, and Deljabans.

Then you get to the end of the HIVE and fight the true form of the boss. The first and second forms of Dark Falz.

After this boss you will be granted with 5 Rare boxes instead of the usual 2.

Or, maybe we should actually have 8 of these rehashed boss fights and be allowed to choose the order in which we fight them by starting in a central hub with 8 warp pads, each corresponding to a different boss (perhaps even mix up the order a bit each run!), and after that's done we have a final showdown with Dr Wily the ultra-special final boss. With a SHITLOAD of rare boxes instead of the usual 2 or the 5 suggested by the above poster. Thats Doctor Birkin from Resident Evil 2. He spits those Parasite worms that FORCE their slimy bodies into your mouth and impregnates you @_@

Also - Tentacle Plant boss - as if this game NEEDS more Hentai Material XD but it would be interesting.

It would obviously be weak to Fire and it would entangle players and crushing them draining HP unless someone cuts off that Vine. And have it spit paralyzation Sp.... uhhh Liquid on the ground like the Grass Assassins can =D

An evil part of my brain, from where the horrible depths of bad jokes come from, wants to shout, "Tony Danza".

Needless to say, I'd like a boss that's kind of like T2 or something. A Liquified boss that can form and take shape. Liquify again to puddle around the floor or up the walls and such. Drop down and pop-up again. The Liquid he's made of would be some diseased but somewhat slimy substance.

However, this will be in a truly walled arena with no real escape for anybody (including the boss). Perhaps a large VR room. That way the boss is always kept in proximity. It may move along walls, temporarily, but all its pop ups and formations are hittable by any type of guardian.

This is because, his main attacks are done in solid form, and always on the ground. If on the wall and he forms, he's only up there a few seconds (max) and drops down.

As another added ability, if his puddle (along the floor) touches you, you get *stuck* there for a few seconds or so. It would sort of be akin to the Dragon from PSO, burying into the ground and knocking you for good damage if his movement under the ground hits you, but with the exception of his slime being like glue and sticking you for a sec or two. Maybe with the possibility of virus.

o.o How bout a Fast boss that is not as sluggish, or as large, as the others,

basically, not anything De Ragan, Zoalgoug, Onmagoug, Dimmagolus, De Ragnus, Alterzgoug, Adahna Degahna, Maggas Magahna, Dulk Fakis[first], Mother Brain, De Rol Le, PSU's Dark Falz, or Dulk Fakis part 2.

<.< My idea, sence Magahna is basically Vol opt, sharing Missles, Laser beams, "melee" weapons, and coloration, is to add a new brand of boss, that's not a gargantuan object of semi-death.

Sinow Gigas- A super Fast boss with only one hit point, and is resistant to all forms of attack. Is silver in color, massive clawed arms, has a slightly spherical torso, and is no larger then Shinowa Hidoki.

Attacks-
1. Dashing, with golden photon blades extended from arms, about the width of Dulk Fakis's "chest Mouth" cannon, does decent damage, and inflicts Shock, occasionally. Does knockback.

2. A Sonic's Spin Dash maneuver, enshrouds self in fire, this attack has a slight homing ability, and if it hit's the wall, which will drop sentry drones that attack weakly with Shock status, it will bounce off in a "mirrored" angle and select a new homming target. Does great damage and inflicts burn, occasionally. Does knock DOWN. is the width of a Lv31+ Zonde.

3. Machinegun attack from left and right arm, short range, low damage but hits repeatedly, turns slightly. no knock or stun effect, nor status.

4. Uses rooms Laser Cannon array. Sinow Gigas jumps up to a hanging device on the ceiling, clings, and drags down a cylindar, 4 Laser cannons appear on the walls, and randomly shoot massive explosive lasers. 5 rounds per laser, each firing independantly. Knock up effect if in the center of the explosion, does 90% set damage to the reciever. knock back effect in the outer area of explosion, 60% damage to receiver. if at the very end, no effect, but 30% damage inflicted. This hit WILL cause Burn Lv4 if hit.

5. Sinow Gigas stops, and raises arms, and cast Resta, takes 5 seconds to do so.

6. Tosses Zonde Lv21+ from arms by sweeping arms, cast it 5 times in a shotgun effect, is fired one at a time, and follows the arms motion.

7. Sinow Gigas runs about, stopping ocasionally.

8. Chases an ally, and if he reaches them, unleashes a ten hit attack with his clawed hands. Does major damage if all 10 hits connect, this attack has a low ATA mod so it's blockable. if a hit connects, you get knocked up.

Hp is 50% that of De Ragnus, but sence he has only one hit target, and is extreamly fast, and dodgy, it'll be a longer fight.

Arena is octogonal, about 20% bigger then the size of the "Platform" inwhich you fight Dulk Fakis part 2. Arena resembles MINES 1 greatly, has lot's of purples and blues.

All the bosses now, just change the FUCKING camera angle so i can enjoy the epic fight before it ends too quickly.


Vol Opt was the coolest boss in PSO and had the awesomest music too. Something similar to that would be great, I.E. a boss that was a bit more technical instead of action packed.

A dragon that goes underground would be fucking awesome too.

Gol Dragon was the second coolest boss in PSO, and would be first if on Very Hard mode + he didnt lag my GC to hell. A boss that had Two simotanious bodies to defeat to win would be great I.E. two dragons instead of one with 2 heads.

A boss where you are required to destroy body parts in order to win would be even more awesome, kind of like the Final Boss from Metroid Prime 2. There are a few bosses like that now, but its still too linear to be a targeting boss.

Neways, my idea for a last boss would be more of a "super-group" of enemies. About 2-3 unique-looking creatures (SEED-forms) that act as a "Guardian" of sorts for the Profound Darkness. Perhaps one melee-oriented, one tech-oriented, and one ranger-oriented, with different attacks they can draw upon. In addition to their own individual attacks, they'd have coop moves they could use for when they're all alive or just two. Killing off two would cause the last to go berserk and able to use ALL of his friend's moves at his descretion.

Just my 2 meseta.

A boss that actually takes a team to beat it. With 6 or even 4 good players, any boss in the game is easy enough. I too am tired of all of deragans kids.
