View Full Version : YAY ROLLBACK...what?

I have a question, why are we all so eager and wanting for this to happen?

I mean, the first time I hear of something glitchy or off happening in game, I run into a slew of people who say they "hope" there is a rollback.

maybe i'm confused, how is that a GOOD thing?

I would lose all the expereince, possible rare items, and other stuff I worked for because of a few select cases of severe glitching? I don't think thats very fair.

perhaps somebody can clarify?

Uh, because people are losing their goddamn inventories.

Its good cause...you lose all the progress you've done up until now. Taking it back to the time after the update.

besides, the bugs that everyone have experienced after the buggy update.

When they do rollback, they will return everyone to their status as of last night before the maintenance. Everything you do TODAY will be null and void. I'm sure in the 4+ hours the servers have been up after this last maintenance that you didn't gain much. I would recommend you to stop playing until this issue gets resolved.

...

what?

thats BAD

and, when ti comes to bugs, they should handle it on a case by case basis, a rollback sounds awfully lazy

You'll also see, if you read, that I think the people wjho did experience a glitch should be cared for on a CASE BY CASE basis.

Right, so let's fix the fucked up inventories BUT LEAVE THE GLITCH ACTIVE. You're not too bright.

Anduril
Feb 22, 2008, 11:02 AM
But doing it on a cases by case basis take more time and resources, and during that time more and more cases could arise due to people who don't check forums and websites. A blanketing rollback is the quickest and easiest solution.

If you were one who was affected by this bug, would you not be demanding a rollback???

It's unfortunate that your weapon's grinds will be reset. As far as the new exchange items, you will still be able to obtain them after the rollback. I'm surprised that people still play the game right after updates. If I had Friday mornings off, I surely would not be playing this game until all was proven safe.

If you think about it, we are paying ST $10 a month to be game testers.

How anyone can be so damn self-absorbed that they can't see the benefit of a rollback at a time like this is beyond me.

Even though only one KNOWN person has lost items, you're willing to take the chance and risk losing all your equips? Well, if you can't see any benefit in a rollback at this stage, I have no hope.

The PM items are bugged, and they may delete your inventory. This isn't some minor bug like say, being unable to drop Al Tippies, this is a major fault, which could be potentially very damaging.

Maybe you're different, but I'd rather not lose a Zanshu, a 42% Daiga, numerous S-Rank armours and a ton of other stuff, INCLUDING my Photon Arts because of this. The game needs fixing- if a rollback is the only way, then I'll gladly take one.

I can't believe you're so selfish, using the 'it'll never happen to me' stance. Take a look around, the items ARE glitched (they don't even have a name or description!), and need fixing.

Ugh. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

the items have no name, because ST doesnt want people to sell them.

you can't type nothing into the search box, and expect results, can you?

Wrong? Yes. Incredibly dense? Even moreso. You say there's no glitch, yet people have had their inventories deleted, the items are showing up as S rank weapons with no name.

Yeah, sounds perfect to me.

A pretty good guess, but honestly I don't think Sega would make nameless items representing armor/weapons/guns/staves in hopes that no one would sell them. Nor do I think that said items would start taking on names of other items randomly, even if that was Sega's goal. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

I'd say having a fighroll become an S-rank megistaride with 10pp seems a tad buggy to me, especially when its name changed to [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] when I removed it from my common box.

next time, skip the flaming and just answer the damn question

the PM items are supposed to give you a boost equivalent to a S rank weapon. so that explains why they look like them.

but, we can't have people trying to equip them, can we? so they give them no stats, names, or the like.

why they didn't just make the items look like all the other PM items, I can't say, because I don't know.

and, in reguards to the glitches, lets just hope its fixed.

in the meantime, I'm going to PLAY the game I pay my monthly fee for, I refuse to stop because of some odd glitches that are happening to a few unfortunate users.
