What are Meteoric Metal and Booma Claw used for?

I was looking at the requirements for purchasing the Melton's Frying Pan at the Collection mission, and I wanted to find out what the Meteoric Metal and the Booma Claw are used to synthesize before deciding whether or not to get the frying pan.

Not sure if meteoric metal is used for anything, but the Booma Claw is used to synth the Booma Statue.

Booma claws are dirt-cheap and drop left and right anyways.
